Happy New Year Everyone! i realise most of you are in the UK so you haven’t had it yet but its currently 12.30am for us here in Tokyo and we have just celebrated. What an amazing, crazy, wonderful year! It’s definitely has had its low points for my family and losing some loved ones which has been hard but we got through it and my family are happy, healthy and well! For me and max its been the happiest, best year of our lives so far and we can’t wait to show up for 2023 and create more memories doing the things we love with the people we love.

I want to say a huge thank you to JP and Corinne and everyone on the TBJP team! Here is to a new chapter 🙏

Another awesome day in Tokyo. We actually weighted ourselves this morning and i am nearly 2kg lighter than when i left so the walking and lack of quantity of food has definitely taken a toll. So far we have found an amazing Ramen Noodle place and this evening we went for sushi which was amazing, but even with trying to eat more with only those two meals in the entire day is pushing it to try and get calories in. I wish i had bought some JP protein with me but we didn’t have the weight coming over and they are also very funny about what food products you bring into Japan. Our bags were also amongst the ones that got opened and searched too. Tomorrow we have a lot on our to do list and have an early morning too. We trained this morning but tomorrow we are taking as a rest day.

Jet lag was a pretty big pain in the ass last night! i probably managed 2/3 hours sleep but i do blame the fact i had a 2 hour nap around 6pm which really threw me out of sync for the whole night. We woke up pretty early then this morning because we were already awake and walked to commercial ish kinda gym it was only 9 minutes away but was decent enough for max to get a chest and shoulder work out in and a upper body session, i wanted to train legs but i don’ think its worth risking here. I will train glutes tomorrow though and will probably throw in some quad and hamstring work that i know will go down well.

After that we had such a busy, tourist day! went to a micro pig cafe, successfully caught the metro to 3 different districts and took a ton of cute pictures and tried some cool food too! Now we are absolutely wiped out, we didn’t nap so i am hoping we get a decent night sleep and we feel a little more refreshed for tomorrow!

Currently sat in a taxi on the way to Shinduku after our poor attempts to use the subway and metro. Honestly so difficult and everything is in Japanese with no translation and no one working in the stations for any help or advice. It was quite funny and we got off to a good start but once we made a wrong metro link it all went down hill from there 😂

Jet lag was an absolute pain too, we were up for 35 hours in total before getting some sleep and even then it wasn’t a great one. We did sleep for a good few hours and started our day round 11am/mid day.

Currently off to one of the places I wanted to visit whilst being here and out for some nice sushi tonight!

With any leg exercises I always recommend people choose the stance that has the least knee pain and feels the most comfortable. This ultimately will mean the greatest ability to progress long term without hinderance.

Hapyy Boxing Day Guys!! hope you all had an amazing Christmas and i hope you are having a chilled and relaxed boxing day too! We had a pretty busy day yesterday we trained in the morning, went to brunch with our friends at a really lovely sushi restaurant for brunch and drinks into the evening and then we came back as my parents were flying in for 9pm. They arrived and we spent the late evening with them and they also bought a load of treats and toys for Mr.

Today was a another busy and long day and is pretty much only starting for me and Max. We were up at 7AM which is early for boxing day, headed to the gym for a really good leg session, got stuck in a ton of traffic as it rained here and People can’t drive in the rain so there were a lot of crashes and delays getting back, then we packed and now just catching up and scheduling ahead as we are off to the airport at 12am to catch our flight to Tokyo.

Busy buys busy but i am so so excited. Tokyo has been on my bucket list for years and i have so many things i want to do whilst we visit, i also have found a really decent gym that is a 9 minute walk from where we are staying which is awesome. I think we will be getting 3/4 sessions in at least!!

Insure GDA is a great addition to have alongside GH, just keep an eye on bg using blood glucose monitor and you can’t go wrong.

Yep this is mainly down to cortisol being released into the bloodstream in the morning, cortisol then causes the release of glucose in the bloodstream.

Today was an eventful one. Woke up this morning to an email letting me know the hotel I had reserved for New Years in Tokyo had been paid for in full.. well max and I had planned to move that trip to the back end of next year because we had a lot in the works for 2023 but me being me, I completely forgot to cancel the reservation and no it’s non refundable! The hotel was expensive and so we decided to spend some more money to go and have a great time that waste the money spend on the hotel by not going at all.

We leave late evening on the 26th. So literally have 3 days (including Christmas Day) to get ready for it. It’s also cold over there and we have no warm clothes so we had to go to the mall this evening .. and shopping for max in a mall is not fun 😂.

Anyhow we are now very excited and even more excited that there is a pretty cool gym right by our hotel!!

Few days since I’ve been on here as the site has been down for maintenance. Nothing too exciting happened a leg day, glute day and today a rest day. I’m still coo-ing about how amazing all the new gymshop kit equipment is and still totally obsessed with the swing squat and how good it feels!
Today was a rest day but absolutely did not feel like it, out the house at 8am to run errands, across to the other side of Dubai for 10am for an appointment for max, dog grooming appointment at 1pm and then I had some down time and got my nails done ready for Christmas and New Year’s Eve at 3pm and our friends came over at 5:30pm. Very fast paced day but has been good overall.

Tomorrow I’m training with a friend who is a glute god haha, she’s going to put me through my paces I think .. and I’ll update on how the session goes!

The only way you’re able to really tell is by negative feedback. I.E. actually adding more volume into the sessions and then seeing if recovery starts regressing in a negative fashion or not.

Wow the Olympia has been a pretty crazy one so far. The time difference is an absolute pain, we are 12 hours in front so late nights and early mornings for us yesterday, today and tomorrow. It’s totally worth it though, mens open pre judging was a crazy one, very excited to see what happens there. Ramy not moved at all and stuck in 5th place spot and Hadi and Derik taking a centre stage spot.
I personally didn’t think Ramy was good enough to not be compared but I also don’t think he’s 5th place either. So will be interesting to see how that pans out. I love Hadi’s shape and conditioning and wouldn’t be surprised if he took the title to be honest. I think he’s come in condition every show and has been wildly underrated in the past.

We stayed up past 12am to watch classic and now trying to get some sleep so we can wake up early enough for open finals haha.
