A lovely top set today on deadlifts at 250kg/551lbs for 3 reps. That was the plan for today but i was honestly considering an easier deadlift session or switching it for my leg day. I decided to stick things out and see how 200kg felt, then 220kg and when 235kg moved like air i realised i probably did have it in me today despite being ran down still.
In my head i think the ‘old’ me would have repped out 5. which would have been a huge pb for me but i am actually pretty proud i didn’t. There is not plus to me doing that other than the ego lifting and the novelty of posting it on my socials. Yet the risk to reward ratio is not worth it. Already feeling run down so i didn’t want to overreach, 3 was comfortable so 3 is what i did. I know there is more there but that will be another time another day.
I backed down to 205kg for 2×5 and then finished the session with 10k on the concept bike at a pretty high resistance. Nothing too crazy in terms of volume training today as i know i have a big leg session tomorrow. I am going to start squatting again tomorrow 😍 We should have been heading back to Dubai this week but due to some property and business hold ups we are here a while longer. Maybe another 2 weeks, so with that being said i am going to start off my squats tomorrow.

Got in a short hour session today at a gym near where we were staying in Plymouth, just some upper body, shoulders, rear delts, a small bit of back and some triceps. Nothing crazy and the choice of equipment wasn’t incredible but we made do.
I am feeling a lot better today still around 60% so im hoping after an early night i should be a lot better again tomorrow. I do really want to deadlift again tomorrow which will be 6 days since my last heavy deadlift session so more than enough time but i will make sure that i am feeling up for it because i want to go for something a bit out of my comfort zone and a weight ive not touched for reps for a LONG while haha.

That degree of extreme knee pain needs to be addressed. I agree that knee sleeves are a fantastic alternative.
Even though you have no knee pain currently, I’d think back to what exercise spurred on the knee pain last session and avoid it for now, only doing exercises you know cause no issues. Reducing loading then slowly rebuilding.

Yeah get a hip hinge added in, RDL is perfect
And you will very quickly be able to assess whether what you have written down programming wise is enough of a challenge. Ensure you log book as that will be vital at ensuring maximal progression every week takes place, as you only have 1 session to ensure progress is made.

Day off training for me today and definitely needed as I do feel a little better and my head cold is shifting. I did a covid test yesterday and it came back negative so it’s pretty much just a bad cold .. (I feel like we forget we can still get ill from things other than covid these days)😂.
Travelled down to Plymouth this morning, the traffic was awful but the hotel we are staying in is lovely. We have actually decided to stay tomorrow night too As I’ve not been down this way before so want to have a look around. Plus the hotel has an awesome AC system and a super king bed so it’s amazing haha.
We have also found a really good (well looks good) gym near to us so we will check that out tomorrow at some point in the afternoon. Nothing too crazy as deadlifts will be on Monday followed by a big leg and glute day on the Tuesday.

Stick to higher rep ranges at the start
Control the speed of your pull, ensure it’s not harsh off the floor
Don’t do crazy amount of sets to begin with
Above all all, use some common sense, you can tell when you’re progressing too quickly or pushing the limits, Lesrn to scale back, take small sustainable progressions.

Still full of cold today but i do feel a lot better in myself, dragged myself to the gym as i really was not feeling a glutes/leg day but i am glad i went because i PB’d on split squats and my super heel elevated smith squats went down well too.
I am also in Plymouth tomorrow and Sunday so tomorrow will be a forced rest day but i do hope to get back on a good time Sunday so i can train again as missing 2 days of training really does put me in a bad mood. I also want to go for 250kg next week. I am not sure it will move but want anything from 3-5 reps depending on how hard they feel. Maybe will be Tuesday/Wednesday so i will have given my body a good 7 days off from my last deadlift session.

Zero worry, you’ll likely just have moved the muscle left then right a bit as the needle moved with it, rather than causing any damage.

So my head cold is much worse today, not been ill in quite a long time so it did hit me pretty hard, i am hoping today was the worst day and i progressively get better from tomorrow. Fingers crossed as i have a leg/glute day planned.
I only trained some light upper work, got a great pump and then after an hour called it a day.
On a more positive note, the TBJP USA site has just launched and is not open and active for all the US people on here, more products will be added soon but there are some pretty awesome ones on there right now including some of the best COR and health supps. You can use the code “kiera10” for more discount too.

Cross fit session for me today, honestly had it quite Ruff today. Perhaps a bit of cold or some kind of tonsillitis but felt pretty rubbish all day.
Even though a CrossFit session was scheduled I would have done one anyway as cardio usually makes me feel a lot better when I’m not ‘super’ Ill! And In this case I did feel a little better after it 🙏🏼
The circuit was:
20cals assault bike
12 barbell shoulder presses (40kg).
500m row
500m ski erg
1000m concept 2 bikeRepeated 4 times.
Tomorrow I have legs and glutes 🙌🏼

Need to find out what the cause is.
Over production of acid?
Under production or inhibition of bile to neutralise acid.Drugs can be the cause of this, histamine production. You’ll need to play round with the cycle and elimination diet.
For a bandaid bi carbonate of soda works quite well.

The number 1 process your body is incredibly good at is letting you know when you’re thirsty, it’s the most important thing to consume. Having set amounts of when to drink isn’t needed, simply drink when thirsty. Always have some fluids to hand, but don’t go to the extent
of ticking off X amount of ml in X amount of time. There’s a large amount of bodybuilders who are diluting their natural salts unnecessarily. -
Awesome session today, filmed by magic eye media so will be one that you can watch on the site pretty soon! After pulling 230kg 2×5 on Friday on a stiff bar i really had it in my head that i could get 240kg x 5 today. Which is a little absurd as that is my 5rm on deadlift. I have done it twice before once being around 80kg and on cycle and the second time being deep in PL prep for the most recent comp i was meant to be doing the American pro, both were grinders..
Today warm up moved so well so decided to jump from 220kg to 240kg and see how it goes, had 0 pressure on myself other than Magic eye filming and didnt really hype myself up, i got it for 6 reps 😂 6 easy reps!! what?? What is going on. i had 4 weeks off deadlifting and this is my 5th session back and i have come away with an all time PB haha. I swear i have more in me but i really was not going to push it after the first set. We backed it down to 210kg and did another set of 6 reps before moving onto legs and glutes. I will let you watch the video when it drops instead of telling you what i trained for them.
Very much surprised myself with my performance today and really excited for the coming months 🙂

Felt so good to get a session in today, after a very eventful weekend to bring my summer to a close 🙏🏼
In my whole teen life up till now I’ve never been on spontaneous trips and I’ve never been to a festival 😂 I think I can count on 1 hand how many times I’ve had an alcoholic drink In my life . So this august is being classed as a wild one for me and I will happily wait until next august before doing it again haha. It’s been so nice to unwind and enjoy being 24! I’m lucky that It fell at a time where I didn’t need to prep or be incredibly strict with training/diet and therefore I saw the opportunity to have some fun and I took it! It’s been awesome.
Everything in the calendar is ticked off, we are waiting for our pet documents and a few housing documents before we can head back to Dubai and get our heads back down to work. I have also needed this time to reflect on what I wanted going forward and my goals for me now are clearer than ever which is amazing.
Tomorrow I’m shopping with magic eye, we have so nasty deadlifts coming up and some legs/glute work’ it’s going to be a good one 🔥
