how to use rir when I train .
my always using high intensity, for 2 set , 1st set around 6to 8 , so much heavy set in 1st set to failure , 2nd set should be more reps , like 12 to 15 reps around , to failure .
so rir is not to failure , I am confused on this part -

Hey buddy, my answer to these things is usually the same . Myself or anyone else, won’t know what you can and can’t do. When I have been injured , I have never ever asked anyone else what I should do , because they won’t know what hurts and doesn’t , only I do. So you tell me what your routine should be, you just told me hacks are no good. So you must know what is good? Don’t lack confidence in your decisions as a 10 year gym go er, be patient , do what doesn’t hurt and slowly progress it. When I tore my pec , I had my usual 5-6 plates a side on a hammer press machine on my right side , on the left – I had 5kg. It then took me 5 months slowly adding weight until I was back to the same weight on each side again
