I feel like i can always perform the same even when the soreness is quite significant although it does kind of feel like im beating a dead horse. Can happen on my hamstrings / glutes for example when doing movement with a deep stretch.

We used to use this in our split a lot – it’s a great variation can do the same set up / ques on any machine row too.

We would take the bench to 35 degrees

To get a little more upper back you need to retract a little harder as the chest lifts a little

Am i right in saying the bench is 1 up from flat ?

What movements do you guys do for upper traps?

If you’re starting to find the full body sessions too taxing and know that they will be difficult to progress and recover from during a deficit, then I would switch to an Upper, Lower split now. Get familiar with it and make some progress before continuing into your cut.

You’ll find as you get stronger, that full body simply becomes tough to recover from and put your full effort into towards the end of a session, so by the sounds of it, it’s time to switch.

Many thanks for the advice. Im still progressing somewhat, however who knows if i could be progressing better on upper lower. Recovery is ok too. The main thing is just the energy towards the second half of the sessions.

How long would you suggest i make sure i get stuck into the new split for before getting into the diet phase ?

    Shower immediately after exercise.

Use salicylic acid or tea tree products on the back when washing.

Use aloe vera gel after drying.

Don’t pick, scratch or squeeze spots.

    Wear breathable, loose fitting clothing.

Change your bed sheets and towels regularly.

Drink plenty of water and eat a nutritious diet.

See a dermatologist or doctor if it doesn’t improve.

Thank you. I do most of these but will look for a tea tree wash and use alow vera gel. Does the salicylic acid come as a wash or did you mean as a separate treatment?

Are your lifts still progressing ? How many weeks have you been doing it ? Are you currently taking body weight up? If so, what are your daily cals and how much have you gone up since starting to push ?
