How much weight have you gained on TRT ?
What is your body comp like ?
Jordan’s advice is going to be the way to go for sure.
Just wondering how much of an effect the above is having.
Hi hilly,
I’m not doing bodybuilding any more just BJJ and a couple of S&C sessions per week, so body comp has stayed pretty much the same but I have gained about 2kg on the scales..
Body comp isn’t the greatest though and I am currently working on my diet etc to sort that out..
I think I just need to accept the fact it’s because I’m a fat fucker than blaming the trt, I just wanted to check as it was only since starting the trt that it’s changed..

No, and it won’t be a thing when your fitness has your heart rate lower than it’s been in the last 10 years ?
Ok thanks Jordan ??

Haha thanks Jordan, I am working on that too! I was just wondering if it was something to be concerned about as I’m still doing the same training as before etc and hr when ‘resting’ seems higher..

What are your two meals that you are currently having? Are you getting hungry in the mornings etc as I can imagine it’s a huge difference to what you are used to?

Love reading this, just gone back and read a good load of pages and think it’s amazing what your doing Jordan and definitely the right decision to look after your health!
I too am only running trt nowadays and do BJJ and aim to get 2 strength sessions a week but I definitely need to up my cardio game as I get gassed too quickly!
I’m going to look into trt from a private clinic too as I would rather have it monitored professionally and know I’m using legit pharma grade test! I saw that you recommended leger clinic, so took a look on their site and all looks good so think I will shoot them an email! It mentions that you can shop around pharmacies with the private prescription to find the best cost, do you have a rough ball park of what the cost is per month?
Looking forward to following this along!

Fully agree with Kuba here
Thanks Hilly, I just assumed as diet hadn’t changed it would be due to the TRT, but what Kuba said makes sense so I have will sort out my diet

This isn’t down to trt directly,
Using trt will have improved your insulin sensitivity, the issue is lack of diet structure and that is the issue not trt
Not eating until afternoon is the issue hwre not gear.
Hi Kuba, yes I agree I need to sort that I’ve just been so busy at work and moving at the moment and rarely have appetite in the mornings any more.
My reason for thinking it’s related to the TRT is that before I started it I very rarely if ever got this feeling, and my diet was the same.
Unless it’s more of a mental thing due to the past experience!?
No, like I mentioned using trt would have your body in a much better spot from
A health perspective so your insulin sensitivity will have improved – when your body is more insulin sensitive these episodes will happen if you are not eating for most day as they would in any healthy individual it’s exactly what I would expect
More discipline and more organisation is needed my man
Ok thanks Kuba! Guess I’ll get my old scrap book out tonight and write myself a plan! Thank you for your help! -

I can’t imagine syringes going out of date as long as they are still in there protective covering, but they will always come with a best before or expiry date for the company who manufacturing them for liability purposes
Yes these are all still in the packaging, maybe they’re fine to use then! I’ll get some new ones anyway to be safe

Thanks Hilly!
Yes ideally I just want to be optimal, I guess towards the higher end of the range.. I was debating running a course of 250mg test with anavar, but I think you are probably right, I need to get work out my base first and go from there. I will go for 75mg twice a week instead and run that for a while and recheck bloods, how long before I should recheck again?
5-6 weeks would be ideal imo
Ok thanks for your help Hilly, much appreciated! -

Try GP first imo.
However I doubt this will be successful- they will either say your in range so it’s fine when your very bottom of range
Or treat you if our but want to use test Gel or something and not care as long as your back in range
I’ve got several clients all tried Gp route with no success.
Private is gd but absolute fortune imo.
With the ease of access to blood work these days I feel self Trt is a better option in the UK
In America rtc they will work with you to keep you optimal – top of range so much better
Hi Hilly,
Thank you for your response! This was my concern in regards to the GP route and also the cost of private!
I have ordered a male hormone profile test from youth revisited which should be here by Tuesday, So I think I will do the test and see what sort of ranges I am in and make a decision from there! Like you mention I would like to ensure I am ‘optimal’ rather then just within range which it sounds is the GPs only concern!

LF, not medical advice but I want to speak from my own experience here.
I live in the states. Quite hard to find a doctor who can, and is willing, to prescribe testosterone unless levels are below the reference range normal values. For me, mine were above reference range by 20 points. Now, that “range” is from 400 to 1000. So why does 420 mean you’re okay? It doesn’t.
So I have to do my TRT myself. It has made the most wonderful difference in my day to day life, bodybuilding completely aside. I was severely depressed before. It has been shown in studies that there low testosterone and depression are linked. I won’t look back.
Personally, I would start with your GP. Hear them out, and get your bloods checked. If you are unsatisfied with their advice, then look elsewhere. But rely on the professional first.
Brady
Thanks Brady! I’ve got a blood test coming this week so will be able to see what sort of ranges I’m at and can then go from there!

I’d like to add that I have ordered a male hormone profile test from youth revisited which should be here early next week so I have the above confirmed

I’m sure this has been answered over n over again.
1 – we don’t know how it will effect you personally. If you get it right you shouldn’t experience any of these things.
2 – yes , both may potentially help – science has shown they can to some extent
3 – it would be a gd starting point. Blood work at week 6 will confirm or let you know if you need to change.
4 – for most yes but it’s your decision
Hi hilly, I was about to post a similar thread but done a search and come across this one. Last time I done any test was 2 or so years back when my course got cut short for personal issues (not related) so I therefore never completed a pct.. since then I have suffered with low test but have been putting it off but it is now causing me issues. I am getting my bloods done next week via medichecks to confirm levels. My question is with TRT, am I best going; via my gp, via a private clinic or by simply purchasing some test and running my own?
