    Hi Rich,

No, it’s not in the way of making progress. It’s just my upperback/neck feeling very stiff and aching in daily life. (Since doing rdl’s again)

Hi Ben, what are you doing for your pre bed routine, other than supplements?

Thanks Ben, I’ll focus extra on the tucked chin! Other than that my form is pretty much textbook.

I think my job (project management) might play a role as well, lots of deskwork and sometimes stress, might also build up some stiffness in the neck area.

Kuba: I agree a lot with the mental caving. I think that is the biggest challenge for most people.

Jordan has talked a lot about discipline > motivatio, I think that part plays a big role in this

Meg: You’re definitely right about the enjoyment factor for newer trainies. But once you’re just focusing on progress after progress, instead of enjoyment, it all clicks.

I’ll keep repeating the same exercises, cracking on, getting really good at them and keep progressing that way.

Thanks for all the insights guys!

Thanks Kuba! Your log actually motivated me to ask the question, I see you do the same session everytime, over and over.

What do you think is the hardest about it? The physical part, being the ability to progress? Or the mental part, of not switching up if it gets hard?

    Thanks for your insights James,

I also like microloading a lot, I dont think progress will always be lineair, just gotta take whats there

My gym doesnt have the biggest selection of machines. I have some preferred options and the others dont click so well.

Do you think it would be possible to keep progressing with microloading if doing the same exercises over and over, with the same rep scheme?
Just get crazy strong on the things you do, and dont get distracted on other exercises

It’s a good point you make there Rich.

Seeing all these training splits on social media makes it easy to get some kind of fear of missing out on all the progress.

The most important part is finding a split you enjoy, and just keep repeating it over and over and over again till you’re big.

Once you’re big you can post your split on social media and claim it’s the best. 😉

Hi guys, thanks for all the responses.

    To answer your questions Rich:

I have been on this split for just 2 weeks now.

I am making plenty of progress, but i have also been sick for 3 weeks straight just before i started this split, so i’ll probably progress on any split right now 🙂

The question was driven by the fact that i always see U/L being recommended, so i was wondering if there is any benefit to just U/L over my current split. Maybe fatigue wise or so. Or maybe some experiences of you guys with both splits

Chris: that could actually be a great split too, thanks for the suggestion

    Hi guys,

First of all thanks for the replies.

I have tried doing lower before upper on B, but have felt that it affects my upper pressing too much. While training upper first doesn’t affect my lower training.

And I like what you’re saying about the long gap between the trainings when doing A/B/C/D, that’s also a reason I quit doing so.

I’ll keep on rocking my A/B split until I can’t progress anymore, but I dont feel that being in the near future 😉
