On a separate note. I just watched the latest pull session video. Looked brutal! Especially that back off set on deadlifts. You left a part of your soul in the asylum yesterday. Lol. Can tell it’s getting to that gritty part of prep where your body is saying “ok fuck you, I’ve dropped enough”. Huge respect digging deep. It looked like you could have gone home just after deads, but you got another tough session under your belt.

https://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/topic/247418-imnotaperverts-t3-faq/
Here you go. It’s part of a tutorial/FAQ about t3 use. I found it really interesting. Hope it helps or at least makes for a good read 🙂

Hi Corinne. No probs. I’ll find it this evening. Think it was made a sticky on UKM of that helps. But will find it when I get in later 🙂

Hello bud. Not posted for a few weeks but still reading everything and checking on here every couple hours!
Regarding t3 use. You’ve said before that you run 25mcg year round to give you one less variable. (I know recently you added t4) but would you consider coming off after competing? I reckon with the amount of cals you need even when dropping, never mind gaining, your natural metabolic rate would be really high, especially with the intensity and frequency of your training, which may help keep you lean as you gain. Or would the potential fat gain as you stop the exogenous t3 be too much of a risk? I can find a link to a guy that ran 12.5mcg t3 as a taper and ran bloods showing that endogenous t3 started back up again as the body realised there wasn’t enough, then dropped the t3 completely after that. I’ll find it for you if you’d think it would be helpful mate.

Would love to hear a brief overview of your findings on how/if curcumin does have any effects on those things?
Hopefully results are promising as I take 2/3 tabs of the life extension brand per day depending on anti inflammatory needs.

I’ve got a similar question to rotties Sas.
I obviously believe that whatever you and Jordan are deciding to do diet wise is the right thing. But would be great to get an insight as to why it’s the right thing. Your diet was massively emphasising creeping cals up and hold back as much cals as possible while still gaining weight and strength. You talked about being hungry a lot but that not being important as long as everything was going in the right direction. But within a couple weeks the food has turned very calorie dense just to be able to keep gaining.
Main 2 question are:
Why quite suddenly are you needing a lot more cals to push up?
And
If your cals were relatively low, was there not room to increase ‘good’ foods up rather than ‘bad’ (not a fan of those terminologies, ha)
Loving your insta at the min btw. I love cars, dogs and bodybuilding so always enjoy your posts! Keep up the solid work bud. Loving your journey to Olympia.

Most he did say in the post after that he did give feedback on performance in the gym. It’s important to know if you’re strong or not in a session. But complaints about mood or tiredness to a coach isn’t informative in any way. Apart from informing your coach that you’re a pussy. Ha

Don’t take him on guys. He’s on more carbs than I have gaining weight. He’s been sarcastic for the last 10 years I’ve seen him on forums. Ha.

Hi sas, rather than have that many cheats, would it not be better to up your carbs a little more and have less frequent cheats? I’d imagine you could get a lot more carbs in than you’re having with it not being very long after show and cals not super high yet, rather than calorie dense trans fatty foods. Although I fucking love a five guys! Ha, but I’m dropping at the minute, so a bagel
And jam is the tastiest thing I have post workout. Lol. -
Probably for digestion. That’s a lot of food to process.

Oh and it’s my birthday today. So I want a shoutout if you record anything ha!

Looking back now Jord, do you think you could have either kept slin in longer or kept carbs higher than you have done? To save getting flat as often?
It’s so exciting to see you’re 4 weeks ahead of last year! The one thing you’ve always wished was better was Condition, and you always say if you’re seriously peeled, managing water and carbs before a show is so much easier. Can’t wait to see what you bring. Especially to think there’s extra tissue on you, so you’re probably 5 or 6 weeks ahead of last year!

That leg pump is going to be insane. Ha
-
That would be great if you keep cals and especially carbs that high. May make the carb up easier and more predictable. I’m sure Shaun tavernier will look amazing as always, but you will certainly be considerably bigger! He dieted a good friend of mine for GB. Nice guy.

Hello bud. I know I post a lot on here, but hopefully it’s all relevant questions 🙂
First I was just seeing how the carb up went?
Secondly, what kind of cals/macros do you see yourself ending up on? I know it will be altered depending on how you’re doing, but would be interesting to see what you predict you will be on close to show day. From what I’m seeing, it’s quite exciting how much cals you will be able to keep in and still lose weight. There’s still a lot of tools you haven’t needed to use yet.
Oh and even without seeing any top half pics, it’s clear now to see now that you’re already lean. Even 4xl shirts can’t hide that shape ha.
