Sounds weird because i don’t agree with the others but i like to push the weight back over the head. It feels more like a natural movement to me. Just give it a try both ways and stick to what feels better for you.

I think it’s very hard to recover from. Most pros just it, sleep and train without a daily life job and hit a big bodypart like back in the morning and biceps e.g. in the evening. Also to say they are the genetic elite with extreme supperior abilities to recover. So never compare yourself to those guys.

For normal people when you train really really hard 4-5 workouts a week should be the limit

I think Scott Stevenson described it perfectly. Nothing more to add

    Underhand grip lat pulldown
    Barbell rows
    Chest supported t bar rows
    One arm cable rows
    Rope pullovers
    Incline bench dumbell curls
    Kettle bell hammer curls
    Reverse grip ez bar curls

I would take off some load but not increase the volume. Just try to get some blood moving and get a good pump. Leave a few reps in the tank.

Or take a few days off from the gym at all. That’s what i prefer.

Up very early this morning today. Can’t wait for my pull session. This is definitely my favorite workout.
Already doing my cardio. I’m still doing between 30 and 45min every day depend how much time i have and what bodypart I’m going to train later. I hope this will helpnat least a little bit getting me trough the holidays in a good spot bodyfat wise for my next offseason ????

I would look what show dates fit best to your shedule. I personally like nabbs/wff for first timers.

When i would be you i would go and watch shows of different federations first and decide afterwards what fits the most for me

Sounds pretty solid. Depends a lot on your intensity and if you are progressing your lifts.

I would add a squat variation like smith, hacks or barbell squats in one of those routines.

A personally like to start out with calves with the dc set to get a better ankle mobility for the heavy compounds

    Seated hamstring curls
    Barbell squats
    Close stance leg press
    Sissy squats
    Adductors
    Trx leg curls
    Hammer strength biceps curls
    Barbell curls

I think show day morning depending on when the show starts you should already be ready. You should be full and dry. Rest is pumping up backstage to pull the water into the muscle cells.

When you are still flat a big breakfast could help but i wouldn’t eat a, lot during the day because your fluid intake is restricted and the carbs will not go to your muscles anyway without fluid. They just sit in yiur stomach.

Decided to do a 2nd pull session this week yesterday. Did just machines and iso stuff because my lower back was still sore but i really liked it. I think i’m going stick with this split for a while because i want to improve my back and biceps.

    Mo: legs
    We: pull heavy compound
    Fr: push
    Sa or su: pull iso
