I think close grip bench press is a triceps exercise and i wouldn’t start an upper body session with such a small muscle group unless it’s a big weak point. I think dumbells are a much better choice. Maybe incline to hit the pecs from a different angle.

Leg session today. Knee feeling a lot better after deep tissue massage. Tried to do a little more volume and increase weight slowly on my heavy compounds to make sure everything feels fine. Also using a lot of band tension on compounds to make the loading curve match the strength curve and take pressure off my knees.
Seated calve raises
Lying hamstring curls
Banded leg press
Front squats on smith machine
Bulgarien split squats
Trx leg curls
Dumbell rdl
Adductor machine -

Very cool mate! My best lifts in competition last year were
Squat 242,5kg with wraps
bench 160kg
deadlift 260kgI squatted 255 in training leading up to the competition but I’m always struggeling to get my breathing right in the sqaut! Still pisses me that I didn’t nail it in competition! But hey! It’s not over until it’s over said Sly! 😉 Next meet will come for sure!

Had a fantastic pull session today! Love pull during prep. Strength is still very good and also my cardiovascular system is a lot better now!
Hammer strength iso lateral underhand grip lat pulldown
Barbell rdl
Chest supported T-bar row
Hammer strength parallel row
Rope pullovers
Rear delt machine
Snatch grip shrugs
Dumbell curls
Reverse grip curls
TRX hammer curls -
Yes mate! What were your best lifts and best total? Which weight class? Raw or equipped?

I log all just to have a complete log book but the only thing I really care about are the heavy compounds with perfect form! A pr or a side lateral or pec fly is absoulte nonsense. On isolation movements I would concentrate on the mind muscle connection and on the squeeze!

Video of the session will be up on friday.

When it fits your structure give it a try and when it feels great – keep it in your routine.
