First make sure your exercise execution is on point. Maybe train with a good pt in the beginning. Develop a good mind muscle connection and than get stronger without sacrificing your form!

Feeling very good today. Yesterdays pull session was completely different to my to my normal training shedule but my back feels pretty sore today and my nervous system isn’t totally crushed! Also did some posing practise yesterday. I need to get back into this as soon as possible to represent my body the best I can when I go back on stage in autumn!

Hopefully I can get a leg session in later in the afternoon but I already don’t know. It’s going to be a busy day!

I handle it the same. Diet longer with only light changes in food intake and cardio. The benefit of dieting over a longer period of time is you can keep your strength levels pretty solid because you do not need drastic deficits and you give also your skin the time to get really thin!

I would keep it pretty much the same is in your offseason! As much as you can handle recovery wise!

If you are still in a caloric deficit i would say it’s ok to use a little bit also in your diet but i personally would cut it out the last 4 weeks before a contest!

Today I trained with a guy I once looked up to when I started training – Mario Hemmer. Maybe some of you still know him. He was once one of the best Austrian heavyweights and earned his IFBB pro card in 2006. He quit competitive bodybuilding in 2013 but still has 125kg and is damn strong. This is what I really love about this sport. To call people my friends now that I once looked up to in the past!
Training was not really my style but still very cool. Enjoyed it a lot getting guided through the session!

    Wide grip lat pulldown
    V-grip lat pulldown
    Seated cable rows
    Hammer strength parallel row
    Cable pullovers
    Rear delt machine
    Dumbell shrugs

How is the volume of your workouts? Maybe your volume and/or intensity is to high to recover from it!

    Hy Robin!

Yes i have done many shows natural at the beginning of my carrer. No big changes to an enhanced prep! My advice is: take your time and take small steps at a time! When it’s your first show i would do at least 20 weeks of dieting. You will need that time to get rid of all your bodyfat an to get a very thin skin. And you don’t have to make dramatic changes in your diet! Try to train as heavy as you can and keep your protein intake high!

Like Mark said I would search for a good massage therapist or chiropractor. Make sure what causes the pain. In my case a lot of stretching helps most of the time!

My chest feels so sore after yesterdays push session. And i still believe that heavy free compound lifts are king. I never get this sore after some heavy machine or smith machine pressing! It was the only pec exercise i did yesterday and just 2 sets and my pecs are crushed!

Rest day today! Wanted to do legs but i don’t feel good enough to get a productive workout today so i decided to take a day off and rest as much as i can!

I would wait for a week for a photoshoot post show when you used diuretics to make sure your rebound is almost gone. Personally i like to have photoshoots before the show or maybe a few days later when i start feeling good again. But you need to stay on your diet of course!

Rice flakes sound good to me. I would not used something with a high GI to make sure I have no drop in blood sugar during my workout. Or do you use an intra workout too?
