It’s starting to get very hot in Austria. And i find it very hard to find a good night sleep when it’s staying very hot during the night which has a negativ impact on my recovery. A good night sleep is a true game changer to my recovery. I hope I get used to this temperatures during the summer month!

Push session today. Still a little elbow pain from my squat pb from saturday but it was ok for my heavy sets. Did free incline barbell benchpress today which is one of my all time favorite exercises.

    Incline barbell benchpress
    Smith machine close grip benchpress
    Rope overhead exensions
    Handcuff cable side laterals
    Handcuff cruzifix raises
    Rear delt machine

On my road to the NABBA Universe i want to bring up my arms a little bit. I was neglecting them during my powerlifting training the last year. I will not use synthol again because in the past it was limiting my pull and push sessions. I just want to but more focus on training them with a little more volume and focus on the fully lengthened and shortened phase of the reps!

What also helps a lot developing a weak body part is trying to get a better mind muscle connection. Try to flex them as much and as hard as possible without weight. This will help you feel them better during your workouts!

I think like most in the supplement industry they focus on making the most profit from their products and not that much on quality! Like most brands they have some products which are ok and some are just to make money. With supps “you get what you pay for.” When it’s cheap I would really question the quality! The only brand i know which makes really great quality products besides Jordan is Yamamoto nutrition!

I bought the cheapest on ebay and I’m using it for 4 years now. 😉 Maybe I just was lucky but it doesn’t always need to be very expensive if you are not a tour the france cyclist. What is important for me is that the seat is comfortable!

Had a solid pull session today. Nothing crazy, nothing special! Just a lot of iso-stuff but it felt really great and productive and not so taxing for my nervous system. Love to switch between one isolation based pull session and one with heavy deads. Works really great for me atm and I can recover from it over a longer period of time. Doing a deadlift variation every workout runs my recovery into the ground very fast!

    Close grip lat pulldown
    Smith machine barbell row
    Hammer strength parallel row
    Hammer strength low row
    Calbe pullovers
    TRX Rear delt
    Dumbell shrugs
    High cable curl
    Reverse grip ez bar curl

Yes I would up my caloric output before dropping calories except your acitvity levels are already very high. I always start with a very low amount and increase when i need to!

I would listen to your body and take your rest days when you need them. But when this happens more often I would reconsider my training plan!

No I wouldn’t rely on the calories those cardio machines tell you. Just track your time or use your own watch etc.

Still can’t believe how amazing yesterdays session was and that I squatted 220 without wraps. Like i said before sometimes the greatest workouts are those when you have absolutely no expectations!

Did 30 min of easy cardio this morning just to spin my legs a little bit! Can’t wait for my prep to start. 4 weeks of offseason to go till we drop the hammer!

My buddy Kevin got 4th yesterday in the NABBA worlds. Fantastic line up in the men 1 class. Best line up i’ve seen in years. In two weeks we are going to start our hunt for an IFBB pro card in Pilsen!

100g of protein from why is way to much from my opinion. Real food is always king. Somewhere around 2,5 – 3,5g of protein per kg of bodyweight should be optimal for muscle growth and you can easily achieve that from real food if you are creative. Try to use different protein sources in your meals!

I made best improvement with 3 – 3,5g of protein per kg of bodyweight! But try to vary your protein sources a bit for better bioavailability!

As long as you are still getting stronger everything is fine. Mostly I only get really sore if a shock my body and switch to new exercises or do something completely different. But if you are getting stronger slowly but surly you will not get very sore!

    Back to training today!

And today i had one of the craziest leg sessions of my entire life. Just wanted to do a little technique training for my squatting without wraps or sleeves and barefoot. Did 180 and it felt fucking easy. So i decided to take 190 which felt even better. So i went up again. 200 felt good. So i decided to go for a real raw pr. Took 210 and it felt like nothing. So i went for 220 without wraps and sleeves and hit a 20kg raw pr. I still can’t believe what happened today. I just want to tell you that when you feel it is there you need to take it. You never know if this day comes again.

    Standing calve raises
    Squats
    Front squats
    Heel elevated goblet squats
    Seated leg curls
