carbs
personally i would need a fair bit more context before i give my input on that, Nick. very generally, i would try to avoid fasted sessions…will be happy to give you my 2 cents if you give a bit more context though dude. (sleep/diet set up/session set up/when will post/m1 be eaten?/how long would breakfast be before session? etc etc)

Avoid? How come?
I typically sleep well, 7-8 hours a night
Diet is normally pretty good (I’ve been hitting my macros pretty much daily..)
Post/m1 simple carbs and a whey shake normally around 30 minutes after training
Breakfast before session would be around 20 mins or so before I leave for the gym (which is the reason I ask as I’m similar to JP in that I don’t like too much food in gut whilst training)_________________________________________

i try avoid fasted training *generally* for 1 main reasons: commonly decreased performance and secondly potentially decreased recovery – this could be psychological too..(not to say that there’s not pro’s to fasted training)
this will be easier – if sleeping well, in a surplus of which carb intake has been high + adequate in the days prior, particularly day before, (assuming not low carb style), positive history of fasted sessions not feeling like shit, pre bed meal night before had high carbs, training is going good, and if post workout/m1 could be eaten within a 30m period of leaving gym, then fasted i will say okay. just be hydrated well before starting, which should be regardless of courses!
(again, as general…if the person loves fasted sessions and can eat m1 within 30m of session finishing then fire away)_________________________________________

So would you say that training fasted WOULDN’T have any negative impact On my overall physique after the 6-8 weeks IF my nutrition and recovery/sleep is perfectI would probably aim to have HBCD and a EAA powder Intra then a cereal whey meal post. Then a carb heavy post post meal

@kevinstuetz @clare @cameron thanks again guys, but whilst I’m thinking about it – if you was to train first thing in the morning before work, how would you go about this? Eat before training or train fasted and have a Intra post and post post meal?
-
@kevinstuetz @clare @cameron thanks for your reply’s, let’s say I decide to aggressive cut for 6-8 weeks, would you still keep training the same and have my carbs pre Intra post?
-

hey
i had to google what this was….so a sugar and caffeine drink basically
what do you currently use intra?
this is a carb, but it doesn’t contain any proteins
and also the caffeine is substantial which might not be ideal for training

To be honest just a flavoured dextrose powder as funds don’t really allow for the more expensive carb powders like HBCD
-
Converse or adipowers for squats

Apologies if I’m hijacking but what’s the difference between normal sea salt and Himalayan pink salt? Like would the body use the two differently?
-
I second what hilly said
Keep it simple
Protein powder
Oats
PbMUCH more cost effective that buying an actual gainer like serious mass or mutant mass (for example)
-
Carnivore by muscle meds was ok for me – it’s derived from beef

I’m a truck driver and always have tuna pasta salad, 1-2 tins tuna 50g pasta (raw weight) and shit loads of salad (I enjoy it ????????
) some lower fat salad cream too
Plus Asda caramel rice cakes (cheaper and taste the same as snackajacks) and piece fruit – normally apples.
