Hey Kuba, I was wondering under what conditions I should post photos to the forums. Pretty soon, I’d like to see if I’m lean enough to end this cut.
Should they have downlighting (I think in a video you mentioned you prefer them with none)? Should they be flexed or unflexed (especially in the mid-section)? And should they be fasted?
Not sure which of these variables actually matter, I just want to portray the most accurate version of myself here for the best recommendations.

I tried to add photos but it wont let me add photos from my pc or my phone.

Sorry for being too broad before. I was meaning general water guidelines, electrolyte targets (if necessary) etc.
Not so concerned with supplementation as I don’t have the budget for hydration supps, just trying to get everything from food sources and liquids

I take in 3000 mg daily, taking PEDs and training depletes magnesium levels, RDA is very low and lower than it should be.
Almost everyone should be taking in more magnesium than they do
Very interesting, didn’t realize training lowers magnesium. The nutrition class I’m in currently made it sound like the RDA is the be all end all. I’m going to have to look into it more as I was concerned about my intake as well. Cheers

You’re getting to be strong! I hope my push up is as successful as yours (minus the injury) once this cut is over. Hope you get better bro 🙂

Keep hammering you lot in the hope you just focus on the intensity and not the quantity . ( I hope you saw me pull another set mid session again today ) 🙂
Guilty! Haha, I’ll be sensible

MemberNovember 4, 2024 at 4:47 pm in reply to: JP prep 2024/25 – NO OFF TOPIC QUESTIONSBut at some point there has to be a line drawn in the sand , a point where you go , ok no more . So if for you that was 5 or 7 it would still never be arbitrary , or general , it would be based of actually listening to your body and recognising rates of progress. Because I know many are entirely incapable of that process , I will suggest a number for them , which is an extremely safe number of 6 .
What would be a systematic way of determining the best number of sets for someone?
In my head it would make sense like this:
Progressing poorly: remove a set for a month. If this is worse than the original number, go back to the original. Then try the opposite direction: add a set for a month, if this is worse go back to the original number. If it was better than the original number, then keep adding until it’s no longer better, then remove sets until back at the sweet spot.
Is this along the lines of the right idea?

If you want to be done and dusted with the this rates fine, I like to see a kilo a week for upper end to help manage holding mass
But sounds like things are being maintained mosltly so you’re in a good spot
Keep going and it’ll be soon time for a good push up
Thank you!
