James apologies if this has been answered before and if this is too private a question then please ignore but how do support yourself as a bodybuilder do you work or as a pro do you receive an income from sponsors etc? Not being nosey just genuinely wonder how pros have money for food etc?
    Cheers

4 scares is a lot, from experience and making home brew etc, I think a lot of people think they are getting an abcess when it is just a reaction to the strong gear, solvent etc, have had similar and just rode it out and its disappeared, do you think you actually have anything to drain? Im not saying people should ride it out, we all make out own decisions but aim sceptical about the amount of reports of contaminated gear,

Well it’s been over a week now and it’s only starting to subside and that’s with me smashing antibiotics. I had a temperature on Monday night and am still unable to train due to the pain and not feelin right. Appetite is still not 100% either. Leg is still red and hot albeit much less than it was. My only thinking for it being shite gear was due to speaking Matt tofton who said he’d seen a few red lumps from this lab.

Perhaps after 14 years and hundreds of jabs my injection technique needs addressed and it’s definitely something I won’t rule out but it’s a bit of a coincidence that whenever I’ve used a new lab I’ve had a bad jab.

Overall this experience has been absolute hell for me, been out of the gym for a week, haven’t eaten properly and have felt like death. I’ve also lost size noticeably which is the most annoying part about it as I struggle to get size on.

Bike may also be taxing on the legs, personally I’ve always favoured the treadmill – high incline and walk at a fast pace. Also makes it easier to watch episodes of game of thrones lol

    Good luck

Also regarding technique it’s always the same, green to draw, blue to shoot. Quads delts and triceps are my usual sites. I swab every time and I’m always clean anyway as I jab after a shower. One thing I did notice was the oil was very thick and was tough to push the plunger down, maybe that’s an issue? Or maybe I’ve jabbed my quads too many times and I’ve hit scar tissue or a hair follicle? I always aspirate as well standard stuff learned it all off http://www.spotinjections.com which was all we had back in the day.

Oh on a side note, I believe there was a major bust of someone who was importing vast quantities of fake pharma gear from China, I believe it ended up in being a copyright issue as well as a legal one as it was such a huge issue, pharmacies flooded with fake amps and tabs/blister packs.

I can’t remember all the labs but the 1st problem I had was with Global Soloitions and this recent one with Cerberus labs which after asking around has been causing a few lads to have big hot red lumps post injection.

Re the pharma stuff is there even any on the go anymore?

What’s the time period with these 4 issues mate?

I had an abscess around 11-12 years ago with Apex gear but was my second cycle so every possibility it was my own fault, I’ve had a couple of dodgy jobs but no other scares since then.

Do you think the issue is down to your technique or the gear your using?

    Hi mate
So I’ve been using since 2005 and never had a problem, 1st was around 2008 when I was unable to get pharma grade anymore and started using UGL. Then another prob around 3 years later. Then nothing till 2014 and now this last one.

Technique has always been careful and sterile, not new to injections so I don’t think it’s that.

Thanks for the recommendations bud, the Mv one is actually one I’ve wanted to try.

It’s the focus I like on these products, I don’t need to be off my head on caffeine to have a good session.

No I didn’t miss it, I read and acknowledge his post.

I will check out insight supps mate thanks.

The other thing that puts me off about supplement needs is that I’ve seen a few posts where people haven’t received their stuff and have had to chase it up and with poor customer feedback.

Fair enough, I’ve never had that issue with them yet so can only speak from experience. But we all have our preferred suppliers. Mine used to be MyProtein, cheap & cheerful. Their protein was ok and done the job but most other things were gash. Since moved onto branded supps (which costs me a fortune might i add) and feel like I get a lot more quality for my money. But don’t get me wrong, I’ve ordered products from branded suppliers and found them to also be gash. Trial and error with everything, brands can have 1 great product (as JP has said before) and the rest can be awful. Its finding the products you like within your budget and using them when necessary.

Give me a shout if you fancy something off Insight Supps and want to know what its like. If I’ve tried it I’ll give you my take on it. Also: TMC10 gets you 10% discount off your shop on Insight year round

Agree mate trial and error. I have been bodybuilding a long time – since 2005 and there’s still so much to learn and always new products to try.

Supplements are expensive when you add it all up but I believe in them and love using them. I like to save money as well as I’ve a 1 year old son so I can’t be selfish and spunking all my cash on proteins lol.

I also know what it’s like to be sponsored so I understand the promotion you have to take on as a sponsored athlete. That said I read labels and I believe all of JP stuff to be incredible quality, as are the Yamamoto products and supplement needs products.

It all boils down to cash at the end of the day and also priorities. My competing days are done – a torn bicep and abdominal hernias have seen to that but I still train as if I will compete again one day. But I’m not a pro or a sponsored athlete so I feel I don’t need to blow all my cash on expensive stuff when a cheaper brand will do for me.

I will try Jp and supplement needs when cash flow is better as I’m intrigued, in fact I’m getting low on vitamins so I may buy a few things to try this month.

I’ve had a look on insight – looks good, I’m mostly interested in nootropic preworkouts so if you’ve any recommendations I will try them and thanks again for the discount code ????????

For health supps – supplement needs/amazon

For pre workouts and proteins –
    branded – sup needs

Good quality cheaper – bulk powders

fact is bulk powders stuff is very good no doubt and cheaper – their protein powders are fantastic, tested and good quality. I have used their beef iso for years and tried the yamamoto one a couple of months ago and they are identical in every way just more expensive.

In terms of pre workouts – theres are ok but pale in comparison to something like prepare as do their intra powders but its a ‘you get what you pay for’ kind of things.

I put links to both sup needs and bulk powders for all my clients and let them choose based on budget. Not many want to spend all there free cash on expensive supps the same as not all would spend what I do on sunglasses lol. that doesn’t mean you cant get decent ones cheaper

Thanks mate that’s a fair point well made.

Listen I’d love to support jp and supplement needs by spending my money on their stuff but the simple fact is their products are out of my reach and I’m not a pro bodybuilder so I don’t need such high quality as some athletes do.

Yamamoto is simply too expensive – 55 quid for 2kg is out of my reach, I can get 2kg of 95% isolate for 35 quid from bodybuilding warehouse and it digests very well for me. Occasionally when I’m feeling flush I’ll try the more expensive brands – tried mutant iso and dymatize but hated the taste so it’s back to BBW proteins for now.

Pre workout I don’t tolerate caffeine so I have tried heaps of pre workout and settled on nootropics which work better for me.

    Appreciate the replies. [/quote]

I think you missed where hilly said Bulk Powders & Yamamoto are identical, except Yamamoto is more expensive.

Insightsupps is my regular supplier of most supps (preworkouts, nootropics, carb powders, protein powders). Supplement needs for health supps (vit d3 + k2, liver stack, kidney & bp stack, intra eaa’s)
Supplement needs health supps are ‘expensive’ but they last forever. You get so much value for money, rarely ever get a 30 serving tub. So when you break it down into servings, its more than competitive and great quality

If supplement needs is too expensive stick to normal food, no point getting supplements that aren’t quality same with gear
