• I would consider running some lantus to take some strain of the pancreas, I have changed my view on fast slin I see it just cause insulin resistance fast

    Long not so much

10 iu lantus with m1 does plenty

Just on training days? Rest days I pull down carbs to almost none and replace with fats. Also if implementing lantus any lab markers I should specifically pull in say 8 weeks beyond fasting insulin and blood glucose? How does interpreting fasting insulin in relation to blood glucose change when using a long acting insulin?
I agree with Kuba – i would start with 10iu lantus with meal 1.

If you go almost 0 carbs or 0 carbs on rest days then surely you know Insulin would be a bad idea here? Defo none on Rest days.

No different markers to check I.E bloods.
Thank you Hilly, yes no insulin with 0 carbs just was asking to see maybe if you’d advise a different rest day nutrition approach where insulin could be used but imo I believe that maybe the 0 carb rest days could be even more beneficial when running a lantus to give my body a break from constant insulin receptor signaling.
