Have you seen powerlifters’ faces when they squat haha. But squats are generally more taxing on the whole body compared to leg press.

I always brace, be as stable as I can to produce the most force. Only time I see not doing it is if you are doing like a constant tension set possibly?

If it doesn’t agree with you.. then don’t eat it. Try cream of rice/ground rice, whey iso, jam?

Where can I find ground rice in the U.K.? Seems only supp companies sell COR

    Thanks for the replies guys

Just buy some raw rice and blend it up into a fine powder. You can find kilo bags of rice very cheap in shopping stores, or can order from Amazon too.

Both days seem rather low in fat.. try adding oils, nut butter, dark chocolate, salmon. Also need more information e.g. weight, age, etc..

If you don’t want to drop carbs, you can.. do more cardio, do harder cardio, or more steps or train harder..

Also take them as far away from your workout window as possible because you want the good inflammation from training.

If you’ve got the money, go for it, definitely feels good. I use AchedAway’s one but you can find cheaper ones from Amazon. But better off ensuring that you are optimising sleep and nutrition and not doing too much volume that you still have DOMS for the next session in my opinion. Things like contrast baths can help too.

It depends e.g. the weights and reps used..the volume created from the straight sets will probably be greater..but the rest-pauses create more “hard” reps.

Could lower the carbs a bit and increase fats on rest days if you want. For me I’d go even lower fats on training days, allowing even more carbs. I like coconut oil, EVOO, avocado and macadamia oil.
