Personally i think its simply to do with Genetics and training style.
I’m veiny as hell even at 10% plus body fat in my upper body, yet at 6-8% and my legs never get vascular.
Guys like Tom Coleman, Ryan Terry etc never get that vascular even when shredded. Just genetics in my opinion.I think staying lean also adds to it. John Meadows and Jason Huh also never get above 8-10% body fat as they generally stay lean year round. They also train high volume. Luke Sandoe said something (i believe) about conditioning new muscle with higher volume training?? The older dogs in the game are definitely more vascular than the new guys. Think Branch vs Heath! Must be something in it!
My blood pressure only rises when i’m a watery mess so no veins from high BP. Var makes me crazy veiny.

Hi Jordan,
I know that when in prep you like to increase your daily energy expenditure rather than add in to much cardio, and off season the opposite (spend time sitting during lectures).
But for us guys who work in an office and spend at lot of the day sat down, do you see any harm with keeping 20-25 minutes of fasted LISS on push, pull and off days, possibly an additional 10 minute HIT (45 second cruise 10 sec sprint on bike) sessions on off days as well?On the weekend im very active and don’t sit down. I also train upper and lower on Saturday and Sunday so i wouldn’t do cardio (dog walking, playing/activities with the kids, chores etc wears me out enough), and would likely add in 300-500 calories to these days.
Do you think this will hinder recovery to much in off season? Or is it one of those cases of just try it, and find out?

Yeah, but if you’re eating 300-400g worth of sushi for PWO carbs, which includes salmon, tuna and avocado it soon builds up to 15-20g + of fat.

They’re basically just sparking water with a ton of chemicals in. Never did me any harm getting into contest shape. In fact, I used to drink a liter of sugar free sodas most days to fill me up. Felt like i was living on Fizz and black coffee!
Off season i dont drink them much as i prefer milkshakes with sugar free Hershey’s syrup for my chemical consumption.

Hi Jordan,
Thanks for the response regarding the Test and EQ ratio!
Wont there be much difference because EQ is garbage?! haha I think i’ll run the EQ higher that way i can hopefully use less AI. -
Hi Jordan,
I tried to post this in the main forum but not having much luck. Sorry for going off topic on your Log but could you help me out?
I see you mostly prefer to keep test lower, and run higher amounts of other drugs.
What would you see as a better cycle? 600mg Test E and 750mg EQ, or 750mg Test and 600mg EQ? I’ve never used EQ before and saw on a video of yours that you’re not a massive fan. But i always use NPP or Deca and i feel kind of Deca’d out, so just fancy a change! Plan is 15 weeks, and as always, staying lean but adding MASSS and Strength this off season!
Many thanks!

Hi Jordan,
When you list your workouts and show the top sets, how many sets are you doing pre? So first exercise might be 3-5 warm ups, but what about after that? Do you do a feeler/feeding set or just go straight into the heavy set? Also what about if going from a row to a pull down, or a pressing movement to a fly?

Thanks for the response Jordan!
I like to keep in some cardio off season. I have to walk the dog everyday anyway so i just make it a brisk paced walk of 20-30 mins. Just enough to get the heart rate up. Only difference when dieting is i’ll do it fasted and bit faster paced, plus i might add another 20 minute stroll before bed/PWO just to use up some extra calories when needed.
So if i’m keeping in the 25 minute cardio a day could i up carbs by 75g per day, and maybe 5g of fat (350 calories)? What with the only slightly reduced cardio intensity it would make it 450-500 at a guess. This off season i also plan to add 10 mins of HIT (spinning- 45 sec cruise – 15 sec sprint x 10) on off days if recovery allows and i can be arsed!

Id also like to hear some advice on this.

Hi Jordan. Not sure if you answered this but i have a question about when you stopped prep, and started to add in calories again.
How aggressively did you re-introduce calories, drop cardio?
I’ve just finished a 16 week “Prep” style diet and got very lean. Now its come to stopping it i want to stay fairly tight, but also get back into a growth phase.
Whats the best way for me to do this?Cardio is 25 mins fasted 5x per week, T3 is at 25mcg ed (from 50, then 37.5 mcg (will stop end of week).
Drugs are 450mg Test P per week only. This will drop to 200mg per week as of next week.
Calorie break down is currently 250g pro, 150g carb and 50g fat – 2050 total.
