Did see the screenshot of the upcoming podcast with Patrick Tuor, you and Jaimy into SST training aswell?
No mate I’m not, I’m
Not that strong to have the need to add set extensions additional metabolic work just yet.Sst is ideal for guys like james Jordan or Ian who are teaching human potential when it comes to Strenght.
I will stick to what I’m doing now until I cannot progress further.
Learn to walk
Before running my friendTotally agree mate. Walk before you run.
I feel a lot of people are going to see SST training as this new, sexy way of training that will gain them tissue quicker. Same thing when Jordan did RIR training and specified he was trialing it for himself, he wasn’t saying everyone else do it.
Stick to straight sets and get strong at them, leave SST for the advanced.

MemberJuly 2, 2020 at 5:42 am in reply to: Joe Richardson Log – 2020/ 21 Mass With ClassThursday July 2nd… how the F did that happen?! Last thing I remember it was March 20th and the gyms were being closed.
Yesterday we trained chest/ triceps with a side lateral movement. Overall a good session however missing my top set of flat BB press nearly threw me off! I have been dead stop pressing throughout lockdown to ensure I maintain good form without a spot and I can accurately track my progression. Rep 5 my line was just way off and that threw me for rep 6, tried punching it but it wouldn’t go. Toys went out the pram, few minutes to compose and cracked on with the rest of the session. Next time I wont mess that line up.
Session was as follows:
Incline DB fly: x 40 x 40 (2 count in stretch)
Incline BB press deadstop: x 5.5 x 12.5
Flat BB press deadstop: x 5 x 7
Weighted dip: x 8 x 12 > Bodyweight AMRAP
Band iso hold: 60 seconds
DB overhead extension: x 19 x 14
Band pushdown: x 20 x 20
DB side lateral: x 30 x 30Today, rest day. As recommended by Anth, I try to nap as much as I can along side a good nights sleep. I take full advantage of this on a rest day and aim for 2 hours, if that’s even a nap. Sleep is highly underrated in bodybuilding I feel.
Currently me & Anth are setting up the training, nutrition and cycle plan for going back into the gym so I will post when finalised!

Hello, I would say I’ve been having a similar problem but I keep getting swollen below my injection sites, what do you think the problem could be? Could it be too much arimidex or something? Last week my jab site went very red and swollen and was very painful now it is happening with my other shoulder/tricep region, currently on 1ML test-e
This sounds more like an issue with your gear being contaminated or your injection technique.

MemberJune 29, 2020 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Joe Richardson Log – 2020/ 21 Mass With ClassReally happy with today’s session! Lots of progress, mind set was locked in and it showed in the log book! Just kept repeating what Jordan said on his live stream, beating your log book or not is a choice. In that moment you are fully in control of the outcome, do not miss. I did not miss. Also forgot the power of Clen… call me shakin’ Stevens!
Yesterday was spent resting and we hit up an off plan meal of burgers & fries, then Ice cream and cookies for dessert. Sensible food choices that digest well, and that’s tame on the volume of food for me! I have a fat boy appetite so eating up isn’t an issue for me.
Below is today’s session:
Weighted pull ups: x 13 x 7
DY rows: x 6 x 13
Deadlifts: x 5 x 12
Single arm land-mine BB row: x 9 x 20
Rear delt lying high BB row: x 9.5 DS x 12
BB shrug: x 12 x 16
Single supernated DB curl: x 16 x 16
Single hammer DB curl: x 20 x 20Tomorrow rest and recover.

MemberJune 28, 2020 at 6:19 am in reply to: Joe Richardson Log – 2020/ 21 Mass With ClassYesterday we hit shoulders and arms. A very noisy mind going into the session which I could not put on mute for the life of me, not matter how hard I tried. Never the less, progress across the board… just not satisfied with the mental aspect of the session. Not as locked in as I like.
Checked in with the boss man. 193lbs, that’s a 1lb drop on last week with increasing strength, always a good sign. Anths happy which means I’m happy. Scheduled off plan meal today.
Aiming for the gym’s reopening on the 13th-ish (not holding my breath entirely) so that gives us 2 weeks Monday. Clen will be going in as of Monday. 2 week cycle, 4 days at 80mcg/ 5 days at 120mcg/ 5 days at 160mcg. Clen is purely a tool as we want to pull me down slightly more, without touching caloric intake to keep performance up and retain the tissue we have.
Yesterday’s session as follows:
Single arm DB side laterals: x 30 x 30
Deadstop BB shoulder press: x 8 x 12 x 15.5
Deadstop Close grip BB press: x 4 x 7.5
BB upright row: x 35 x 12
BB shrug: x 30 x 15
BB Curl: x 20 x 20
Band push down: x 40 x 40
Single arm DB hammer curl: x 20 x 20
Single are DB overhead extension: x 17 x 16Today’s agenda, cardio, eat, rest, recover.

MemberJune 26, 2020 at 9:37 pm in reply to: Joe Richardson Log – 2020/ 21 Mass With ClassHappy Friday guys!
Legs/ calves on the menu tonight! Hot, humid and sweaty but we go in, got it done and progressed! Session took a little longer than the norm due to the heat and intra workout fluids were up to around 3.5-4 litres. Very happy with the session, took progress across the board quite substantially to be fair… some movements up by 2/3 reps and increased weight. Only top set of BB squats didn’t see external progress as I wanted to better the form/ internal stimulus from last week which we definitely did.
Session was as follows:
Banded leg extension: x 50 x 50
Banded seated hamstring curl: x 35 x 35
High BB squat: x 5 x 13 x 20
Paused BB RDL: x 8 x 8.5
Pit squats: x 30 x 16
Seated calves: x 30 x 22
Standing calves: x 16 RP x 8
StretchesCurrently loaded up on Halcyon and soaking in a Epsom salt/ Vit C bath to help with circulation and recovery. Last 2 meals to get in and a bit of a later bed time due to working till 6 tonight but will make up the sleep in the morning with a rare lie in.
Check in with Mr 100% or Nothing himself tomorrow, let’s see what the weekend brings!
Peace.

MemberJune 25, 2020 at 2:46 pm in reply to: Joe Richardson Log – 2020/ 21 Mass With ClassHope everyone is doing well during the current climate, and working even harder through adversity to chase their own goals whatever they may be!
For anyone who doesn’t know me, my name is Joe Richardson, I have just turned 25 and live in Durham in the North East of England.
I have been “training”/ in a gym environment since the age of 16, where I got my first gym membership as I drifted away from playing rugby and needed something else to get my teeth into. Unfortunately, I wasn’t surrounded by elders with knowledge, and everything I did was self taught.. guided by the YouTube ideology of bro-science nutrition & volume training.
In 2017 I took the decision to really have a pop at this and got my first coach, Mr Owen Powell. Owen took me to my first competition in 2018, PCA London classic bodybuilding. I placed top 6 against some real good, mature physiques. Feedback; need size/ maturity.. shape & conditioning they complimented me on.
2019 me and Owen parted, I took the whole year off to gain that size fed back to me from my showing. I moved to MaxxMuscle gym & had the eyes of Mr Anth Bailes to keep me in the right direction. At the end of 2019 me and Anth teamed up, aiming to compete in 2020 in PCA and 2Bro’s classic categories.. however 11 weeks into dieting and 5 weeks into cycle, we had to shut it down!
Long story short, not satisfied with what I currently bring to the table… more size in the right places needed. Lets get it done.

Awesome log Dan. Just started following your journey on the gram.
Just out of curiosity, what’s the plan with the home gym you’re training in atm? If its even considered a home gym.
Is this something you plan on using every session going forward, post lockdown? Or will you utilise both this current facility and a public gym?

I know there has been some conflicting opinions on here already around this topic but I feel there is merit in eating a larger meal pre bed.
Allowing that meal to fully digest and being stored as usable muscle glycogen for fasted training the next day.
That pre meal you have between waking and training (5am-6am), I feel, is more for cognitive function etc.
