    hey joe
depends why you are doing it i think….so what is the reason for you?
    what is your rep range?
are you a ‘good’ deadlifter? – ie your mechanics work well with the movement

I believe I am built for the deadlift with me being a shorter stature.

For me it’s a movement I use to grow as a ‘whole’… as I understand it’s stacking multiple joints/ body parts.

I use multiple rep ranges 5-9/10-15/15+… more of a hypertrophy style rep range apposed to the strength and power lifting rep ranges.

Just curious as to what other people feel is a good tempo. I don’t do the tap and go method, I prefer placing it dead on the floor and pulling from there. Personally I like to really rip it from the floor with power.

I also like to incorporate controlled RDL’s for focussing on posterior chain work.

I think before you look into buying supplements that potentially, you don’t need, you may want to ask yourself:

Am I not recovering fully? If not why.. Is my nutrition/ energy balance where it needs to be for my goal? Is my training volume too high? Not enough rest days? Any external stresses?

Supplement Needs Sleep Stack is a great product, but will only supplement an already nailed on, nutrition/ training plan and a good pre-bed routine.

The reason of starting an offseason “lean” is to place your appetite/ digestion in the best possible position to allow you an adequate amount of time to progress training and food before appetite stalls. The longer your appetite is in a good place, the longer you can push. Once your digestion and appetite bottoms out, that’s essentially the end of your push up phase. At that point you will have to look to increase appetite again possibly through mini cutting. As above, starting lean also to allow you to minimise fat gain during that push up.

    Hey
Mast is not someting i would advise off season.
Both other compounds are ok,just need more infos about you to advise you on dosages

    Hi mate,

Curious as to your reasonings behind mast not in the offseason? Could it not be used to help with oestrogenic sides and that would then reduce the need for an AI? That way lipids would be in a better place? Cheers.

  • To say taking SARM’s will give you a look you wont be able to achieve naturally isn’t at all true.

Some of the most shrink wrapped physiques are natural… it just takes some balls to take it all the way off.

    Kuba-

Being in the position to be able to train out of a facility, are you finding it as mentally satisfying like you would have pre-lockdown with a gym full of people?

So who’s still got there head into shows this year and who’s hitting off season??

    Jamie- Hope you’re well matey!

How do you feel about your pro debut potentially not being as “busy” as first thought?

What I mean by this is, potentially not having as much of a packed crowd to get the atmosphere going… Potentially not having as many guys up there battling it out with you… and also potentially not being able to travel abroad?

I say potentially a lot as obviously, everything is just speculation at this moment.

Does it bother you as I know pro debuts are made to be a big deal, or are you purely in the mentality of stepping up there for yourself regardless this year?

Tim- How do you feel the allocated time slot works for your training? Are you enjoying the higher intensity through shorter rest times or are you someone who likes a little longer rest to really attack sets? As i can see this being a likely measure for when gyms reopen.

    Nasty leg day today

So actual session took around 3 hours, safety bar squat has to go now as we must opt for movements I can connect with a little more precisely.

Now we roll with hack reverse banded

With the reverse band on hack squats… is the aim to decrease weight/ stress on knee joint in the bottom of the rep and release band tension/ increase load as we get into shortened position?

Evening all. Just got back from the gym and a very frustrating session, actually frustrating is putting it lightly it was shit from start to finish. Every set was down from the previous rotation. I actually live 1hour 30 from the gym so it gives me chance to collect my thoughts and calm myself down on the journey home. We simply dont have sessions like this and it needs rectifying fast. Its what makes the difference, people who choose to accept it was just a “bad day” or people who make sure it doesnt happen again by finding what’s causing the regression.

Looking over the last week to 10 days and training 3 on 1 off the amount of volume accumulated over the week is too high from me to recover from and it’s now effecting my training. From today I’ll take out all forced reps and reduce volume over each session and micromanage from there until food goes up and my recovery capabilities are better.

    session today was

    Atlantis side raise x 3
    nautilus shoulder press x 2
nautilus inc chest press x 2
life fit tricep press x 2
    prime pec dec x 3
    lying cuffed lateral x 3
    upright row x 2
    tricep cable crossover x 3
single arm tri machine x 1

Not every shit session has to be seen as a negative mate (as hard as it is), which you have shown here and used it as a learning curve to delve into what the route cause was! Takes a lot to turn a shitty session into a positive out come, we’ve all been there haha!

Mad that you’re 90 mins away from the gym, that’s real commitment to a great environment! What is your job to be able to do this 3 hour round trip?

That’s my current cycle plus Var.

    400 Test/ 400EQ/ 250NPP.

Only just breaking through into week 5 so still building up into my system but I know Jordan also ran Test/ EQ/ NPP (420/420/350 I believe and he rated it).

You get the best of EQ & NPP so I don’t see why not.
