Get yourself a hip rotation band, can find a good one at strengthshop, or just a resistance band and put it just above your knees and do paused squats focusing on not letting your knees cave in – fantastic exercise for abductors

Personally, I think it’s gonna take too much away from the loading, you’re stronger on the eccentric so focus primarily on a fully controlled eccentric in the region of a 3-4 count, a 1 count pause to ensure you initiate the movement with the muscle you’re trying to train and an explosive concentric.
A slow concentric is something you could play around with in your deload week if it’s something you’re keen to try…

Personally, I’d invest in a pair of straps unless you’re training specifically for a sport such as strongman or perhaps powerlifting where grip strength becomes a priority. If your answer is no you’re not, then buying a quality pair of straps will allow you to progress the lift to a higher level over time whilst maintaining a double over hand grip placing less stress on your biceps tendon, which is a common injury amongst strongmen. That risk, coupled with progressing heavy rowing movements in this same workout will greatly increase chances of a minor/major setback IMO…

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You’ve only been running with the program a month there’s absolutely no need to change anything, keep progressing!
