Soooooooo, here we go – show day has been and gone. I will positively write a proper up write of the day as I didn’t expect to be so busy.
Results are as follows:
1st: NPA South West 2019 Novice 1st Place
NPA South West 2019 Best Male 1st Timers
NPA South West 2019 Best Transformation MaleQualified for the British Finals in 10 weeks. Will he, won’t he? Hmmmm
She knows, but thank you to @Corinne ingman for absolutely everything from answer my stupid mundane questions and overthinking to being brutally honest. First and foremost, she is my coach and this is a business relationship however I like to believe that over time we have become good friends (probably got the wrong end of the stick, awkward).
For now, I’m enjoying time with my wife to be who is the absolute best person in my life.
In my post show write ups, I know you’re all wondering ‘what did he eat after the show!?’ That is for another post, however thank to those who have shown your support through and through. Updates coming up soon 🙂

Initial check in done – BW was 71.3kg, which is the same as yesterday. Baffled as had a massive carb up yesterday haha but definitely look fuller so water must have dropped significantly… or I lost a good couple of kilos of muscle overnight.
Meal 1 was supposed to be 50g chicken, 40g nut butter however last night it was amended to
25g whey, 100g oats, 100g banana 20g nut butter
Can’t argue – orders are orders!Will write a full show update in the next couple of days, but for now this is me signing off. Wherever I may place I know I have ticked, no completely obliterated each box and there is no doubt in my mind I’m showcasing the product of my hard work.

I literally can’t believe show day is finally here. Not going to go into an overly emotional drawl as anyone who has competed knows what a satisfying and worthwhile process it is. You literally cannot place it into words – the highs, the lows, the trial, tribulations and ultimately what you become/ showcase as a result of it.
Quick recap of yesterday – Early evening check in with Corinne and her orders were to bump up food in my last two meals. I thought ‘that’ll be half a rice cake then’. Um, not quite. Final two meals were as follows:
Meal 6 – 100g 5% fat steak, 10g evoo, 130g rice, 100g banana
Meal 7 – 20g protein from whey, 130g oats, 100g apple, 40g honey, 20g nut butterIt was so, so good. Now I couldn’t cook up any additional rice and didn’t bring any additional olive oil, but luckily had zero sodium ricecakes so get this – four rice cakes, thin spread of nut butter and banana inside. Made two rice cake, banana and nut butter sandwiches – delicious. Granted there was only a slither of nut butter to give 5g, but nonetheless it was lovely. The final meal literally had me moaning with each bite, so so good.
Added 1000mg vit c and 500mg dandelion root to my final two meals as well. Fluid only baby sips if needed. A serving of Halcyon to knock me out as well.
Got my lovely spray tan last night and had a lot of fun with the process, getting into some shall we say ‘interesting’ stances. One of which isn’t too dissimilar to being stopped at customs and having a ‘thorough’ check. Started off thinking that’s not dark enough, but boy does it change quickly.
Final check in with the boss and some heartfelt exchanges – I won’t list here specifically as that’s coach/client confidentiality 😉 and I wouldn’t want her Ice Queen reputation to be affected. First meal of the day was amended as well, but will list that in next post.

Fantastic – must be buzzing! Just a heads up that I found personally found two weeks out waaayyy harder than the final week. What happened to the logging my man? Have a little peek now and then, but can’t see any updates. Clearly keeping your cards close to your chest haha

Tomorrow is show day!!
Last training session yesterday, was a push session but instructed to keep a rep in the tank so essentially just repeated my last session. However, did did a few extra reps here and there still haha. Not going to write the session out, but was a great one.
Weight this morning on wake was 71.3kg so today’s the day to fill me out.
Diet as follows:
Meal 1: 25g whey, 100g oats, 90g apple
Meal 2: 100g chicken, 90g rice, 20g cashews
Meal 3: 100g 5% steak, 90 rice, 5g extra vigin olive oil
Meal 4: 25g whey, 100g oats, 90g apple
Meal 5: 100g chicken, 90g rice, 20g cashews
Meal 6: 100g 5% steak, 90 rice, 5g extra vigin olive oil
Meal 7: 25g whey, 100g oats, 90g appleWill be checking in with Corinne throughout today to check everything is going to plan and body is responding how it should. Plan for today – treated myself to a haircut at a Turkish barbers including hot towel, lovely jubbly. Now it’s a case of get everything together, get my tan done and then just chill. Little bit of posing practise but nothing too strenuous – all of the hard work has been done. If my body can’t unwind or my mind is racing, I’ve got some of JP’s Halcyon (not his personal stash) as insurance. Knocked me out last night and got a lovely 8 hours sleep, minus the two times I woke up to tinkle.
Most importantly my post show meal is booked – Bare Grillz, an American smokehouse joint and their desserts look insane as well. Immediately post show I have some granola, greek yogurt and protein powder – very indulgent I know.

Indeed matey, it’s this Sunday.
Last training session this morning, so now just to enjoy the next few days and know that I have done everything possible to ensure my first show goes well. Been a fantastic learning experience and enjoyed the whole experience.
