If you suffer with anxiety all the time, I would go to the Dr mate.

I also suffer from this and the usual anti-cortisol supplements ie ashwagandha etc didn’t really help much.

Some therapy ie CBT may also help.

Thanks for the replies @clare and @joe-ballinger-2

Really appreciate your insight. I do tend to think too much!

I really don’t think it’s going to be long until Scotland opens up the gyms.

Is there any private facilities you could train at?

Nova Pump Neuro or Komodo Pump are good for the nootropics +pump.

As an all round product, Prepare looks awesome but haven’t tried it myself

July 1, 2020 at 11:22 pm in reply to: Pull – prioritising trap training

Deadlift and snatch/wide grip variations have been vital to me for traps.

I would prioritise adding 20kg on those movements. My traps respond very well to pulls though.

Plate raises (raising the plate overhead) are also an unconventional movement which can work.

I would focus on pulling big weight off the floor across a few variations first and foremost though IMO

Go Gym in Chang Mai looks great.

When I went, I preferred Chang Mai to Bangkok. A bit more relaxed and lower cost too.

I think Thailand can be great if you want to live the bodybuilder lifestyle and travel too.

Muscle Factory (as mentioned) seems to have become a hub for many bodybuilders in Asia.

    Bangkok in Thailand

    – gym you have Muscle Factory which looks awesome

    – cheap food

    – more liberal laws on a lot of things

    – could probably feasibly live there for an extended period on less money than a lot of places

    – crazy nightlife if you’re into that sort of thing.

Would do this if I didn’t have any commitments for sure.

    Hi Ryan,

    Enjoyed reading your training journal.

I have a question- how did you train in your early years when building a foundation?

    Great content in here

I think in 50 mins I could get three compounds in, with 2 sets each

    So for upper:

    Bench press

    Shoulder press

    Bent row etc

Doing this means you May have to train additional days to ensure you’ve got everything covered

I know amino spiking is an issue, this can be seen with things like glutamic acid etc

Good quality may be determined by where they get their raws from- I’ve heard that some of the budget suppliers actually get good quality grass fed whey.

Being produced in a certified factory eg GMP is a positive sign.

There was an investigation in the US a while ago/ from what I remember, many of the more expensive brands were spiking.

I’m more concerned about strict measures ie time allowed in the gym. I feel that July 4th is likely.
