    Hack Squat- Cybex

    Leg Press- I like HS

I would add in a decent GHR to that list too

I like the Outright bar as it sits well and is tasty.

All decent bars tend to be very expensive for what you get in terms of nutrition though

How can I control/lower blood sugar levels that are spiked by a medication? I have regular tests for diabetes but worry this could be harming body composition

Thank you so much for the replies.

Appreciate all the input and thanks for the detailed breakdowns.

I’ve taken it all on board and will make some changes now!

Thanks for the feedback it’s much appreciated.

I think my age is playing on my mind a little in all areas of life! Even though 34 isn’t old.

I’ve come up with some aims short/medium/long term.

Initially I immediately entered a deficit, but in hindsight I think just getting used to training consistently again is more important.

    Appreciate the comments

GHR and strict good mornings with a safety bar are my favourites

You’re regressing on major movements, as this has been mentioned, body weight creates leverage for things like squats and benches.

I think you look very good, I would be happy with that.

5×5 is a set/rep scheme not a method in itself

I used to like it as a short term block, before switching to something else

    Could be

    5×5
    3×5
    3×3 etc

Technique is what will make the biggest difference to your lifts though

Thanks for all the detailed feedback guys, it’s much appreciated.

I’ll slowly cut the energy drinks down, tbh it’s got out of hand

Will look into Halycon for sure.

    Forum is great tbh

    When I used them

    1 x quad dominant
    1 x ham dominant
    1 x chest
    1 x shoulder
    1 x back thickness
    1 x back width
1 x bicep alternate with triceps
Abs if you do them, calves

    I like 1 x 5-9, 1 back off with higher reps

Exercise selection depends on kit available, exercises you connect with etc

Hope that helps- others will have different takes but this has worked for me when I did them

Pushing Dumbell bench up 10-15kg per hand with good connection made a big difference for me… IE you’re going to need to get a lot stronger across rep ranges!

Yes I should give more context
    Upper/lower split
    10-12 total sets per session
Currently in a minor deficit (250kcal deficit). Sometimes a bit slack with pre training meal.
Don’t do de load until I feel beat up and not progressing
Currently just finished my MA and looking for a job, so plenty of rest but also some stress.
Supplements are pretty standard, support max neuro before bed.
Do consume a lot of energy drinks to counter day time tiredness (maybe I’m crashing?)
Have recently changed my sleep schedule (was sleeping super late when studying and now more regular hours)
    Train naturally.

Hope this gives a better context!

    Thank you very much!

My hams are very sore today so hopefully the technique was ok. Will work on it more though!

I think these went well today, only used a light weight but it felt challenging. Felt in the hams mainly, decent pump.

Will probably keep regular deadlift in as I find it hits my lats more. Maybe a wider grip.

Thank you again for the detailed tips
