I don’t overthink things, I just communicate and check in and then follow the plan. Don’t seem able to do this by myself lol.

I don’t think there is a black and white answer here.
I personally keep my diet the same on rest days vs training days, I have chrohns so like to keep things as consistent as possible.
Many others, especially elite guys and girls have a big difference between training and rest days.
As long as you’re gaining weight at the rate you want or losing it then I wouldn’t stress too much, unless of course you are looking to become a top competitor.

Thanks for the responses. Just to confirm there were no issues putting it in suitcase.

If you move away from being obsessive with increasing numbers on lifts, do you think you will lose some love for training? How do you think you will continue to love it as much?
John Meadows went through something similar when he started training with Dave Tate. He lost a lot of top end strength but trained using various intensity techniques and took his physique onto another level. Could you see yourself doing something similar with training?

MemberApril 29, 2023 at 1:24 pm in reply to: Full body training – Realistic expectationsI’m confused Sam, you spoke about moving to a full body?
How has this been going? Are you progressing?
I’m now curious what stimulated your thinking to shift to a full body, as this is two stages on?
Yes, sorry I should have been more clear – this is my current split and its going okay and progressing but i feel like moving to a full body split would see more returns is how I should have phrased the original post.. would having higher frequency throughout the week be better served or does my current split look okay if I’m progressing and I shouldn’t worry too much on changing plans?[/quote]
Check out Fortitude Training! It might be the perfect fit for you right now.

Try doing some leg curls first to get the hamstrings pumped. Got this from John Meadows and worked miracles for my knees.
Maybe turn your feet slightly outward (not too much).
You might just need a deload or be fatigued like the experts said above.

Hi Jordan, I think I recall you saying somewhere that you looked your best ever whilst following Fortitude Training. If that is the case, why is it that you no longer use that training system? Please correct me if I’m mistaken.

Thanks for all the responses. Got some tissue work done earlier and did a few shoulder stretches. Afterwards I could flare my lats with my hands further back. Going to keep practicing and working on shoulder stretches. Will come back and post pictures if still struggling in a couple of weeks.

In Tesco you can get a kg of chicken breast for around £5.50 – around 240g of protein.
Fromage frais you can get a 500g pot for £1.10. 0 fat, 23g of carbs and 40g protein for a pot.
Between these two you can hit 220g of protein for just under £5.
Using protein powders and local eggs from a farmer are another two good options for cheap protein per serving.
Carbs are very cheap – rice, oats, potatoes, fruits etc.
Healthy fats can be cheap too – buy a quality olive oil (bottle is expensive £7 or so, however it will last a while).
Butter, coconut oil and animal fats are not too expensive. Look at buying some meats that are a bit fattee too as they tend to be cheaper. 15-20% fat mince.

Ooosh today was gd fun! I posted a video up on Ig , fitness is coming !!
Sadly I just learnt that if your on trt , you can’t qualify for the CrossFit games , I defo had it in my sights that I would do the work to get into the masters division, but fair enough , I can see why they don’t allow trt . Will just be whatever comps don’t care if your on trt next year. For a moment I was like, I wonder if I could restart my hpta haha, but the only risk is if I can’t , it would be months and months of feeling so wank with non existent test levels
Any concerns about using TRT long term from a health perspective? Of course, you are using a prescribed dosage now, however is there any concern regarding the constant level of testosterone? By that I mean our testosterone peaks and troughs at various points during the day, however this does not occur when using synthetic testosterone. Do you know of this having any negative effects? Perhaps interference with signalling for other molecules?
I’m just curious because moderately, chronically elevated insulin can lead to insulin resistance and moderately, chronically elevated cortisol can be problematic too. I’ve personally never heard this discussed with regards to HRT though.
Also, I can move this question to the forums if more suitable?

Still a chill day for me in terms of structured training , I was tempted to add another training day but I’m so smashed after the last 6 days that I’m just going to stick to what I’m on, 3 private bjj and 3 very hard fitness sessions a week is ideal for me atm to be making really good progress that is noticeable each week. 3 private bjj feels like it would be the same as doing 6 classes a week, if even that, it’s like you can’t even get close to the level of learning in private sessions as it’s just all so tailored.
Today will go for another big walk during the day, but nice and passive today, we will probably do like an hour and half max , just up in the walking paths around where we live.
Went for an Indian last night, was awesome ! Cheltenham has so many great restaurants that are Michelen standard or have really niche and high quality standards , last night was very decent
Highly recommend Le Champignon Sauvage if you have not been yet. Helen (one of the owners) who heads up service is lovely and her husband David (chef) makes exquisite food!

If you’re pushing food, it could be insulin resistance.
