A good approach to keep things varied is prioritise carbohydrates and increase calories on training days. While having higher fats and lower carbs and total calories on non training days. Means you can switch up the foods you’re eating to keep the diet more interesting. While still ensuring you’re in a caloric surplus you could look at training days as “fuel” days and non training days as “health” days, with non training days being where you consume most of your vegetables and photochemical rich foods.

Agreed. Fantastic contributor to the site!

I saw you post this on Scott’s forum also. Maybe try increasing carbs for a week?

Max it doesn’t matter as long as you’re consistent year round. But if you don’t know where your diet was previously and have just started tracking then you’ll have to make that decision now 🙂

Are you using hcg or have you used it anytime recently or had your hpta functioning properly? Libido is likely more complex than just the obvious hormones. Also did you get a free testosterone and total testosterone measurement?

I tried mom/tues and thurs/fri recently and I was smashed after three weeks.

Aggressive metal or hip-hop while driving to the gym and while training. Then driving home will listen to something like country music to wind me down haha

No I haven’t had blood work done. Training can have an impact on vitamin d levels so could be relevant. I supplement with 6,000iu of d3 daily so may boost that up to 10,000 and see if things improve :). It’s not a massive issue for me but am curious whether it is normal.

If you want some good science on this, then search rich pianas opinion on YouTube 😉

Yeah when I deload or take time off I feel more energetic, but fatigue sets in from first session back. I don’t consume much caffeine except a coffee pre workout. It only is an issue when I’m destroying my log book, otherwise no bother at all.

MemberJanuary 17, 2018 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Effect of Accutane on Body CompositionI’m no expert on accutane but have used it and found it have no impact on body composition. In theory maybe it could due to gut impact and potential full body inflammation, but I doubt you’d notice any negative difference looking in the mirror. I’d be more concerned about negative health issues than body composition, especially since these in the long term are what will negatively effect body comp :). Like I said though I’m no expert! Btw I find it excellent for acne treatment. Had acne on my back and shoulders since I was about 12 and accutane was the only thing that sorted it for me!
