This depends on your goals. Personally, if your show is not a national level qualifier, I would put having kids first. I’m not saying that you can’t have kids if you blast and cruise but it could be more difficult. I wouldn’t want to look back and wonder, if I my wife and I were unable to have kids, that it was because something that I did that I had full control over. I have had two kids and now I blast and cruise as my wife and I don’t plan on having more. I am not a top level bodybuilder or anything but I compete now. Unless I was at a level where bodybuilding put food on the table, life comes first. That is one man’s opinion.

I enjoyed FT as well. It is my favorite program because it is so simple to adjust. I do hate the lower body muscle rounds but they work.

Whether you do this, Jordan’s program, or DC, any higher frequency plan will work

Dude, without pics this is very hard. I guess you can go with JP and Corrine’s advice that when in doubt cut, but I believe that it would be wiser to buy a one off diet from JP, which will likely change your foods and explain your position.

Here is why. You may be able to still gain 2 lbs of muscle in this blast. Who knows. Sometimes people judge themselves too hard. This could be you.

Honestly, whatever approach keeps you hungry to keep going to the gym, and lifting with enough intensity to make a newbie throw up is the best approach. Consistency and whatever allows you to continue adding weight to the bar is what you should use. Don’t read too much into the program. Bust your butt and Deload when necessary and don’t miss a workout. That is just my opinion man.

I can tell you the issues that I have in the off-season. I typically take in about 250g (uncooked weight) in chicken or red meat every meal for six meals. When I try to go higher than that for too long, I just don’t want to eat anymore. I am currently 250lbs at 5’8”. I don’t know what it is called but it doesn’t feel like acid reflux. It just feels like my last meal stays in my throat, ie like it is not moving down. I taste my last meal for 2.5 hours until my next meal that i don’t want to eat. GHRP-6, digestive enzymes, and fiber don’t help. The only thing that helps is to start supplementing in protein shakes with olive oil rather than Whole Foods. I don’t try to classify it. Just imagine your last meal sitting in your throat all day and not going down. It is brutal. It makes JP’s caloric intake in the off-season something that is truly impressive beyond belief. You would literally have to push through wanting to throw up.

Prep all of your food at home and buy one or two bags from Sixpack Bags to store them in while traveling. They are expensive but will last you forever. Freeze the meals that are more than 48 hours away and then these meals act like the freezer gels for the other meals.

Almost all hotels have refrigerators. Store your food in the refrigerator at the hotel except the food that you are using that day. Keep that in your Food bag.

If your co workers make fun of you for carrying a bag and eating meals, and this bothers you, then this sport isn’t for you.

Have your goals in mind and don’t let anything get in the way of your six prepped meals per day if you are serious.

The treadmill is the problem, especially if you put it on an incline for long periods. Just switch to something less impactful to your shins.

Byron, I may be misinterpreting what I read in FT but I train late. So my only carb meals are my preworkout meal, my ontraworkout meal, and my large postworkout meal. I hit the sack and wake up with just a protein and fat meal. I don’t think you need carbs in the morning as it is outside the workout perimeter.

Metformin. Run a cycle of Metformin. That should get you to a great starting point again with insulin sensitivity.

It effects Mtor but being lean sounds
more important to you at the moment

Also try ALA r. Jordan just put up a video about this.

If your sleep is bad due to apnea there are more and more places that send you the sleep apnea test in the mail and then prescribe a CPAP.
If your sleep is bad for other reasons like stress, etc. try downloading the “Binaural Beats Delta Waves” app for your phone. Then find the number combination that is right for you. It is like a dog whistle. You and your spouse will hardly hear it, but it works.

I don’t think that they have a large place in the offseason. The carbonation makes me feel full and bloated which is not what I am looking for when I am trying to maximize cals. I think one every other day doesn’t hurt, or one per day.

Flip side of this is precontest. I want to feel satiated and love the taste when everything else is bland. I put two away a day, easy.
