    The two groin muscles that are usually implicated are the pectinous and adductor brevis, due to their poor leverage they really act more like flexors, than adductors. They act in synergy with the external oblique on the opposite side to form whats called the anterior oblique sling.

    As far as take-aways and things you should try.

    1) Drills to improve thoracic rotation . I.e Thread the needle
    2) Stretches for Hip extension. i.e couch stretch / lizard pose
    3) Pelvic Stability drills . I.e copenhagen plank
    4) Hip Stability drills. i.e Hip “Airplanes”

    Then be sure you’re introducing graded exposure. Which means slowly introduce increasing levels of hip flexion. I like single leg box step ups, and slowly increase the height of the box.
