Thank you so much for all your quick and thoughtful reply. I really appreciate alle of you taking the time to share your experience and practical advice, super helpful!

It’s great to see different perspectives on handling carbs, timing, and productivity. I’ll definitely start testing things like fasted deep work, shifting carbs around training, and prioritizing fats/protein in the mornings. I will trail & error it and what truly works for performance and mental clarity.

Appreciate the support and tips, I’ll keep you posted how it goes!

    Cheers,
    Tim

Go to bed earlier. Get up early. 5am. (Maybe you already do?). Do your deep/most impactful work early while you’re sharp. You have at least 3 hours there of solid uninterrupted work before you need to eat. Meal one can be protein/fats to avoid the carb ‘coma’ or a meal with lower carbs depending on your goal. Look at highly digestible carbs/cor/fruit juices/fruit here if required etc.

You next meal around 11am and by this point you could have up to 5 hours decent work in. Bit of a balancing act and trialling what works for you but this is just an example for you.

    Hey Joe,

Really appreciate the detailed answer, thank you for taking the time!

I’m up at 05:45, but I’ll try pushing that deep work window earlier and delaying meal one.

Makes perfect sense to fuel with protein/fats first to avoid that crash.

The structure you shared is super practical, and I’ll test it out on the time frame I see fit in to see how my focus responds.

    Thanks again!

Hello mate, my husband got the exact same thing after breakfast; but lately in cut and even low carbs is doing the same on him.

So he works on the most intellectual stuff fasted in the morning for 1/2hours and then he eats

But you could try zero carbs until midday and priviledge intellectual stuff for the morning, and maybe more commercial/andwer to clients the afternoon while having carbs

Otherwise, me I do a lot of coffees lol

    Hey Allison,

Thanks so much for your quick and thoughtful reply! That actually makes a lot of sense. I really like the idea of saving carbs for later and using that morning focus window for deep work.

I’ll definitely experiment with a fasted start or zero-carb mornings and see how that feels.

Appreciate you sharing your husband’s approach too, super helpful!
