    Yeah smash out some pull ups at start of session that’s what I do in pull sessions now.
    But no harm doing them later in a session either. Just see what you prefer.

    Rest day so just a day in the office and then watched a movie this evening.
    Was a lazy fucker and didn’t get up until 10am. Had that ‘fuck this shit’ feeling but dragged my ass out of bed and got into the office.
    Will sort myself out and get up at a decent time tomorrow.

    Trained delts and arms this morning. Good session and lifts progressed. Went to work and had a decent day.
    Was a steady day today but still got that low feeling. There’s no reason for it, there’s no cause, nothing that’s happened, just have a feeling of ‘what’s the point’. I’ll ‘tick the boxes’ or whatever that bullshit saying is, fucking hate sayings like that. But just not really excited or happy about anything. It’ll change. Another day tomorrow.

    Hi Tim- thought I’d chime in here too. I read your log daily, and am quite excited to see how things progress for you since your back to some form of normality (If you can call what’s going on right now “normal”, but whatever..) I think the low days are kind of inevitable, but its just when it creeps up on you unexpectedly it makes you feel a little worse, if that makes sense? But I find that it makes me appreciate the “good” days a little more.
    Hope your doing better after the weekend and being around friends/family.

    Hi Kate, yeah I’ve just started to accept it more now that it’s something that will always happen but it can be controlled somewhat. It’s just when it’s unexpected that it’s sometimes tough to deal with as it doesn’t make sense. Will be all good 🙂

    Legs and back session went well this morning. All lifts progressed. Can’t wait for gyms to open though as need a bit longer then an hour to get things done and access to more kit as certain parts aren’t getting hit.

    Not sure if there’s any specific videos but from a safety point of view the barbell becomes riskier and riskier with increased chance of an injury (most pec tears). Smith gives more stability and you can load it more without the same vulnerability in the weakest position. I’ve had Smith presses in my plan from Jordan.

    Dads birthday today so had a nice time sitting and chatting with the parents. Washed the car and then went to some mates for a BBQ. Normally I’d shut myself away at this point but learnt that being around others and having a laugh helps. Feeling better this evening than the last couple days.
    Training tomorrow morning, new week so will get it off to a positive start.

    Went for a long walk today. Nice to get some sunshine again. Tried to concentrate on positive thoughts but not been able to do it too well. Seems to come in waves these low time’s. Will come out of it so just got to keep going until that point.

    Bit of an off day though. Got the training done but one of those days where mood has been low. Seems to come in waves. Rather be transparent than pretend these times dont still come around. Got ways of dealing better with it now so will keep practicing this but it’s by no means an overnight fix. Tomorrow could be a better day.

    Know that feeling… sometimes you just wake up and feel like there’s a cloud over your head for some unknown reason. It’s during those days that it’s important to remember that you’re not alone and it helps to talk to people on days like these from my experience.
    This is one of the logs I read every single day, so looking forward to seeing how things progress now you’re back in the swing of things!

    Yeah it just gets you doesn’t it. Everything is fine one day then next day feel rock bottom. You’re right talking does help. Just frustrating that it doesn’t go away for good. Just gotta keep going though haven’t we.
