Things like cure-coming and Halcyon will help. Sports massage. Reducing daily stresses where you can.

You could add another set, or put it later in the workout.

Great session today. Delts and arms. All lifts progressed and feeling stronger. On a good run right now so nothing needing to be changed.
Went into the office today as all our admin staff are back so was nice to feel a bit of normality about the place with having them back in. Will stick to going into the office now as I need that routine and structure.

Today was a rest day and I wanted to do some more exploring so went to a place called Wetton which has Thor’s Cave in Peak District. Awesome place for a day out walking. Amazing weather, bit burnt now.
Then tonight was boys night so we had a BBQ and watched a movie. Awesome weekend in all.

Yesterday was training at 12, chest day. Session went really well and all lifts progressed. Finding my grove a bit now with barbell pressing. Always struggled with this but seem to be connecting more with the exercise now.
Spent the rest of the day in the garden at my parents doing more jobs for them. Really nice day.

If my top set is 7-9 reps and back off is 13-15 for example and I do 7 reps on 100kg then I’d say drop my weight to 80kg and see how many I got. If I got 15 reps then I know I could increase to say 82.5kg next time. Just have to play around with it.

Productive day at work which is nice after the industry pretty much having come to a standstill up until only a couple of weeks ago.
Was tough staying disciplined and not just sitting in the sun all day. But headed out for a bbq with some mates after work was done which was nice. Big fat steak, halloumi cheese , roasted peppers and garlic potatoes. Tidy.

Forgot to say yesterday I checked in with myself and weight was up to 239.2lbs. Most will be water being held from the test being added. Will likely drop a few lbs between now and next check in. No changes to food as strength going up and body weight too.

As Oscar mentions it sounds like you need to strengthen other areas first. It might be a lift you don’t need to be doing right now as could be too advanced for what your current development is. Try addressing the areas Oscar mentions and then revisit the exercise after say a 12 week period and see the difference.

Really good back and hams session today. All lifts progressed. T bar rows was one of the exercises which has had some controversy around it due to the v handle grip. My opinion…fuck what others say (to a certain point lol). If you like an exercise, if it works for you, and you are developing as a result then keep it in. You wouldn’t keep doing an exercise if you didn’t feel it working so why suddenly is this particular exercise no good after generations of bodybuilders having done it their whole training lives. Rant over. Feeling that sessions are just going to keep getting better and better now, in a good spot.

Rest of the day was spent working and then headed to the parents as it’s my mums birthday. Sad to not be able to give her a hug due to her being one of the people at risk due to her medical issues but was awesome to at least go over and sing happy birthday and see her smile.

Not sure of the benefits here of using HGH as a replacement for an intra drink. Personally I’d keep carbs or eaa for intra and just use HGH in morning, post workout on training days and before bed on rest days.

Yeah give it a go. There is no wrong or right. If you do it and enjoy it and see results that’s all that matters.

If you’re logging sessions then you’ll see strength plateau or drop, this is an indicator. You’ll also just feel knackered and lose the drive sometimes to get up and train. It’s not something that’s programmed as you may need a Delors after 8 weeks and then another 6 weeks after that or you could go 12-16 weeks without one.
