Thanks for ur reply Jordan, yeah I’m gonna try 150mg and see how I feel then if not drop to 125mg and assess. I’ve heard a lot of athletes say they feel great on true TRT in terms of mood and sex drive

    Few things bud

Firstly you probably need a rest, libido is not really dictated by the drugs much imo it is more dictated by lifestyle

Get your blood work tested and see where it is at, given you are running 300 test 300 mast it isn’t really a cycle that would result in a ton of stress. Over time doses need to come down when you get to a spot where progress stops due to higher bf or just getting worn out this is where you pull back.

Cheers bud. Yes I deffo could need a rest/deload I always expect my sex drive to be through the roof on cycle but on this it hasn’t been the case, and also my erection quality has been awful. I hear a lot of blokes say that on TRT 150mg a week there sex drive is class

No, if the drugs you was using was legit it’s like eating the same chocolate wrapped in a diff wrapper

You won’t feel any change or anything different

The only time you would was if lab you was using prior was dosed under

Thank you my man! Yeah I think the gear before was slightly under dosed tbh mate and I was getting such bad pip it was crazy. I’ve heard good things about quanta and I know a lot of the top guys and guys on here use it so excited to try it out

Yeah it’s something I have really struggled with. Pushing my weight up and losing condition I think I start to look crap. I hate adding body fat and seeing things like my abs disappear and my face start to get bigger. Little things like that I really struggle with. It’s something I definitely need to work on for sure

  • What are you doing day to day? Are you just having one off refeeds or have you brought your calories up significantly on a daily basis? You’re obviously still extremely lean and extremely food focussed, so you need to get some bodyfat on and be in a decent consistent surplus to get out of this rut you seem to be in.

Yeah calories have been increased. I believe I am in a surplus, weight has increased very very slightly. But I am consuming like 3500 kcals and I’m sure this is a surplus for myself. Does the actual body fat percentage dictate like how hungry you are, hunger signals etc etc?
Yes, absolutely. Leptin is produced by bodyfat, so low bodyfat levels will decrease this circulating hormone which your body detects and in turn increases your hunger.

Sounds to me like you need to increase your calories some more.
Yeah I thought so Clare! There is also Grehlin too which is another hunger hormone which I think increases hunger. I have heard lots of people in prep and myself included who I can maintain my weight on a lot of food like 3,000 kcals but my body fat is very low which I’m turn increased hunger

  • Hello bro, yes this is what I normally do. But tbh I always eat mostly the same foods that fit into my daily calorie allowance, I have a super sweet tooth, so a lot of my meals are oats with whey, cream of rice, Greek yogurt, peanut butter coconut oil, almond butter, fruit to try and crave my sweet tooth

I think this is your main issue it sounds like.

You need food that is filling first and foremost. If you are full you are not going to over eat 2-3k cals for sure.

the trick here Imo is to make sure your getting a good chunk of your food from filling foods that you need to chew, digest and that will fill the stomach.

Then add something on top to balance the sweet tooth.

You also seem super focused on numbers and telling us your super lean.

What is rate of gain like on this food? If your super super lean as you say, super hungry and weight isn’t going up then you need to be upping food.

From your posts you really could do with working with some one to help manage this IMO but thats just my opinion of course.
Hello bro, yes mate I agree. I did have a coach for a while bud but financially it costs a lot. Like £200 a month which is quite a lot for myself atm. I have self coached for a while and done well. It’s just post diet and staying lean for so long I have struggled with. Just been super food focused for a long period of time. I think I definitely need to change my focus, which I have it’s just I’m still very good focused and I know it’s gonna take a while for this food focus to subside I just have to stay disciplined and gradually up my calories

  • This is how many calories I had today. Around 2600 kcals over maintenance for today’s TDEE

  • Huge food volume , huge salads , more protein , Greek yoghurt

Cheers Jordan, yeah 0% fage greek yogurt is a staple atm. Sometimes I smash a whole 500g tub with chocolate whey just to curb the hunger🥲 like today for example Jordan, I overeat around 2600 calories over maintenance eat around 5700 kcals and my maintenance today is around 3100/3200 kcals. Will just a bit of water weight be gained? And a lot of glycogen? How should I approach this when I just started a gaining phase, should I just get back on plan and let the water drop off?

Hi mate. I know how this feels and this whole situation I’m not on prep but I have dieted down to very lean levels of body fat, and I am still extremely lean now but have increased kcals and transitioned into a gaining phase. I would get back on plan bud, decreasing food too much can cause another binge, I talk from experience here, if mentally you can decrease kcals more than usual then go ahead, but again if you go too low you will just binge again. So I’d get some cardio done, drink loads of water, extra vitamin c, and train very hard and get yourself in your usual deficit and it should just drop off bud

You’re leanish bud but again depends on the end goal? I would still take more off if you want to push-up for a long period of time. The leaner you start the more productive your off-season will be. But you are lean enough now to push up

Give it a bit , re asses and then if your still feeling mentally flat , I would ask to change meds again. From my reading , people do find a med that sits the best for them and doesn’t make them feel too flat but equally helps with the anxiety

Yes I am definitely trying what you said bud and getting myself in a surplus because I am very lean and super super food focused atm. When being real food focused Jordan would you add in more of a calorie surplus like 500/600 instead of like 200/300 to mitigate this? But yes I definitely feel mentally flat and have done for a while. They can do this and have done to a lot of people. I definitely had emotions and feelings come back when I discontinued from the drug for a short while. The only reason I went back on was because I had withdrawal symptoms for month that didn’t go away and I had a job to go to etc

However , you also have dieted down to an extremely lean state to the point of binging , and then not immediately getting yourself back up . That process , independent of how you normally feel, can feel incredibly overwhelming in terms of fatigue and motivation . So I would potentially wait to see how you feel on sertraline after a prolonged period back at a body fat level that has been void of any food focus, for at least a month . From being extremely lean and extremely food focused , that can take a month for that leave . Post comps it can take like 3 months to leave , and fatigue to level back off

Very true Jordan, this could definitely be another thing that is killing my motivation and not feeling myself. I have put my calories up since your advice and all of the athletes advice. It could be loads of fatigue built up like you said? Making me feel shitty. Can the actual body fat level you are holding make you feel these things? I haven’t had my body fat tested but I know I am very very lean. Probably 9% or under but I have no idea?? I’m just trying to put my finger on it? Maybe like you said I need to just spend a lot of time of higher food, less output and in a calorie surplus and add some body fat
being at a pretty low bodyfat will for sure cause this type of feeling in some no doubt.

Some people will feel fine at say 7-9% body fat and others may feel terrible. Especially in your situation were you have been pushing for a long time and not come back up and sat there for a period of time
Thanks for your reply my man. Yes it could be that mate for sure I am aware that low body fat can make you feel that way. But I did have a short period off sertraline and I deffo had a lot of motivation/ feelings/ emotions come back a lot lot stronger. I did deffo enjoy training a lot more when I wasn’t taking it IMO. I guess a lot of people say you’re not your true self when taking mental medications because they are kind of changing your mind for you? But again I don’t actually know loads about SSRI drugs, I know a little bit from my own research but I definitely feel it has a bit to play with the way I’m feeling at the moment. But for sure I know that low body fat can make you feel these types of ways also
