Push today. I didn’t sleep a wink last night, so that was fun ..haha! Managed to match all of my numbers though, which I’m pleased about, so still no loss in strength.
I’ve also been to get my nails and waxing done this afternoon and I’m a bit behind on steps because of that, so I’ll be dragging myself out for a walk soon. Then I also have my last walk of the day before I eat pre bed to get done too.
Another day nearly ticked off and one more day closer to stage ?
Hi Clare. I’m enjoying following your prep on here. Can I ask on days like this where you don’t get any sleep how do you push through? Is it mainly mind over matter? I have had nights where I haven’t had loads of sleep and I just feel awful my cravings and hunger also goes through the roof and I tend to slip up on my diet. Any advice for this?

I’ll be honest mate first time I came off was by myself and told no one as mentioned I didn’t want to be on when I got married… I was ok for a while but moved to DUBAI at time which brought a lot of stress and led to a bad time for me and complete relapse.
I went to a doctor here and went back on my
Meds for over a year whilst at the same time seeing a therapist who eventually allowed me to come off my meds and I was fine, no withdrawals but part of my therapy with her was to recognize my triggers and have coping mechanisms as depression and anxiety ever fully goes away but you learn to manage it
Hello bud. Did you taper off gradually? And if so how long did you do it for? What dosage was you on? And if you dont mind me asking what was the actual reasoning behind you going on citalopram in the first place? Do you feel overall better now you are not on the drug in yourself. I just feel very flat on citalopram, emotionless, tired, lifeless. Can’t seem to feel anything whatsoever if you can relate

Hey mate I was on this exact drug for over 2 years (with a break for a period not advised) for me personally the only negative side effect I suffered while on it was libido.
I eventually came off it after an extensive period of therapy and dealing with my issues that caused me to be on it in the first place.
As I mentioned above I did come off it myself after a few months as I refused to get married while on it as I wanted to be me if that makes sense but this did lead to me having some issues again so I would not advise just coming off it but I would say speak to your doctor or another doctor to discuss your options
Hello buddy, thanks for your response mate. Yes I get exactly what you mean, I haven’t felt myself at all since being on citalopram. I honestly do believe you can resolve depression and anxiety by getting to the actual root cause of the problem like you mentioned. It’s just how the drug makes me feel, like I mentioned emotionless, dead on the inside, no motivation, no drive for anything etc etc. I would love to discontinue and start feeling myself once again tbh I just get scared of the discontinuation that can occur. How was you after you came off? Did you get withdrawals symptoms and if so how long did they last bud?

Hi Tom,
I am sorry to hear you have been having these side effects. I would 100% consult with your doctor about your concerns and relay these exact feelings and information you have about how the different dosages affect you.
Like with any drug, certain drugs may not suit the individual, and there may be different side effects to each individual.
I personally havn’t ever had the experience with SSRIS, but I know close friends that have. I also know that doctors turn straight to antidepressants rather than finding out the root cause, by discussing your lifestyle, stress, relationship, any potential chemicals that you are taking…
Once you find out what the root cause may be, there are many natural remedies to treat anxiety that should be tried before even considering SSRIS.
Hi pheobe thankyou so much for your reply. Yes I had a little anxiety and obviously mentioned this too my doctor and his first response was an SSRI. I was on sertraline before citalopram and it helped more with my anxiety than citalopram but still had certain side affects. I would just love to come off the drug and just naturally treat my anxiety with the exact things I do now like train, keep myself in shape year round which I do, eat a good balanced diet, take good supplementation like omega- 3s, extra vitamin D and health supps. Training massively helps me too. It allows me to feel great and it’s been shown to release certain chemicals like serotonin

Can’t see the pictures bud if you can upload them again

Depression is a horrible thing to experience, hope you feel better overall very soon.
In my experience SSRI’s can take a little while to work, so maybe you’re still lifting out of depression now?
When do you take them? I notice if I take things like this late at night it can make me feel groggy in the morning. Taking them earlier in the evening may help.
Other than that, it can take a while to adjust to anti depressants. I would give it a while further. If it’s still not working for you, there are many different SSRIs and you can also look to adjust dosage.
As a side point, sun beds massively helped my depression in the past, so this can be worth looking into as well.
Vitamin D and moderate to high dose fish oils have also improved how I feel in a similar situation.
I also hit the sun beds a lot and take extra vitamin D and extra strong fish oils daily too so I cover all basis on that. I do go to the sunbeds a hell of a lot

Hi bud thanks for your response. Yes I’m 10 weeks in on citalopram and I am deffo feeling better than I did that’s for sure! I still don’t know if it’s the right SSRI for me, only time will tell! If not like you said there are many different options out there. I would need an SSRI that’s is weight neutral and minimal side affects because like most people and athletes on here I like to bulk and cut and can’t have one increasing or decreasing appetite much. I just worry about the side affects of SSRIS. The doctor only prescribed it for 4/6 months and then you should come off

Just a few shots from yesterdays shoulder workout. Flat as fuck but is necessary.
You look class bud??

Add the food you are craving to your daily calorie allowance.
This is not an issue this is a case of managing your eating
It happens very often when people over restrict them self and make poorer food choices as some foods are still demonised…. They shouldn’t be
Yes bud, this is rare for me I don’t normally ever binge but yesterday I lost it, it’s probably like you said from overrestricting in terms of food- I should add in food I crave like chocolate etc into my calories which I never do. What should I do for the next few days? Should I lower food to remove water weight put on?
If you mentally can yes, if you are in a bad place don’t lower just get back on plan so you don’t slip up again my man
Yes bud, from literally one single day how much body fat can you actually store? Is most of the weight water? I don’t actually feel too bad today at all, feel pretty normal not holding too much water- it was probably because I was pretty depleted anyway -

Thanks for your reply hilly, how should I overcome this binge? Should I lower food food for the next few days to remove water weight put on? How much can you actually put on in 1 single day?

It’s completely normal. The focus and discipline is there it’s greater because the goal of being shredded holds u accountable you know you can’t get shredded eating shit in excess. So then your out of a deficit in your head you know you can eat now. So the discipline isn’t as strong. You know you don’t need to be shredded so you allow yourself some food it then turns into a binge.
I speak from experience here
You need to get into a surplus and just get it out your system. Apply the discipline to the next goal. Gaining size..
If you don’t wanna gain size you want to stay lean and maintain that goal needs to be a strong one ! You need to really wanna stay there. It’s not easy.
Mate you have literally hit the nail on the head, i literally couldn’t of put it better myself. I look at myself and think right okay I’m happy with the look, I don’t need to be in a deficit anymore so back maintenance kcals and then I give myself more food, then I feel like there’s less discipline and I get carried away and turns into a binge. Im wondering if I just need to care less about what people think about me and start gaining size in a surplus to mitigate all the food focus that I have 24/7
I think you definitely need to stop caring about what people think about you.
Let’s define your goal now ? Do you have one ?
If we can define your goal maybe we can come up with a method that’s gonna help you get a grip on this
Well atm because I had quite a bit binge yesterday I’m going to go into a deficit to remove some water weight that was put on from binging and then from there do you think I should start increasing kcals into a surplus? -
I would personally have a little of what you fancy each day instead of binging, like Haider said going into a surplus will help reduce cravings but its definitely something you need to get out your system.
Yes bro, it’s so hard to resist when the cravings are 24/7 constantly. Like the goal of maintaining for me seems boring and there seems nothing to chase, I love the shape in I’m in and the condition I’m in, but it seems pretty hard to maintain and the cravings and hunger signals seem to hard to override because the goal isn’t strong enough, like I’m not in prep I’m just doing this for lifestyle if you get me
