I fully agree with sas here, strip the load down a little and adjust your foot placement ensuring you have good mind to muscle connection in the quads. You could also look at add a pause in the stretch position too for more time under tension.

I will try that and have a 12 week run on the hip press soon. And see how it helps my quads.

    another cracker of a session

    stiff leg x 4

    prone pulldown x 5 x 4 x 3 x 9
    prime upper back x 5 x 5 x 5
    extreme row x 5 x 5 x 5
    rear delt row x 6 x 8
    shrug x 6
    bicep curl x 14

    20 mins cardio

Hey 😊 When you do Prime Upper Back 5 x 5 x 5, that is more or less same weight but you alter resistance profile by moving weight from middle to upper peg?

Agree with all the guys above. I will add that I really like adding band resistance to the hammer strength hip press. That coupled with a narrow low foot placement is a winner for me.

Oh super interesting idea. I use EliteFTS bands on the regular leg press as I follow Meadows programs. 😁

I find it’s much easier to get increased range of motion on a hip press than a leg press’s. So whilst it may not those the quads as well as a leg press, it can make up for it in the range motion. Plus it’s still a lot of quad activation no matter which way you look at it, especially if feet are placed low down and when heeled shoes are used – it’s also important to note that what will make the most impact on your ability to progress will be which one you can safely get a long runway on in terms of loading – and which feels best on the knees.

Thanks Kiera. I think it’s as you say maybe that it’s not always about the minor differences of the machine, but, but how well you do the specific exercise. 😊

Worked great for my quads. Just adjust foot positioning a little. Narrower maybe. Generally if load and mind muscle connection is where it should be you hit quads very well when going to failure

Thank you Sas. I will try adjusting foot positioning.

    Part 2:

The leg press (normal one) also has a high amount of hip flexion so just because a leg exercise has a high amount of hip flexion should not make it a bad quad exercise?

The only exercise that has no hip felxion is the leg extension so I am not sure why the hip press should be a bad exercise for quads. What am I missing here? πŸ™‚

You look absolutely insane (in a good way) on that picture.

Question about your PEDs usage: I didn’t understand 3mg of test everyday? Is that written correctly. It probably is so 3 x 7 is 21mg of test per week as “female TRT”?

What are your plans yet if any when going on blast if you plan to do so? πŸ™‚

I’m glad you can now drink you EAA’s ok and like the taste! My favourite is also the watermelon MPS max πŸ™‚

I wanted to try that one for quite some time as well. Alternate between Eaas and MPS Max is my plan soon.

Like kuba said I think insulin can help a lot, with or without gh when used sensibly and correctly

I will find out what sensible and correctly is. Thanks Sas! 😊

    Absolutely it has imo

Not only it will keep you sensitive if you look to use it in lower doses but it also works in synergy with ped

Increased MPS, better nutrition partitioning and igf output from lantus will all contribute to getting more out of a lesser dose of peds if utilising both imo

Got it bud! Thanks for helping.

Clare and Meg. Thanks for your replies. πŸ™‚

The previous tub of Orange Eaas tasted very very bitter compared to the Orange Eaas I have now, which is a lot better. So I actually believe there was something off with the one I had. And it also tasted extremely bitter all the time so I don’t think it was something I did that added the bitterness to it πŸ™‚

I like the orange flavour I have now, but I will try that flavour as well Meg next time πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for putting your log up. And congrats on the everything you accomplished with the placings and joining the TBJP family. πŸ™‚I was actually curious about the handle you used for the smith-machine. I am using straps, but an attachment seems way better. Where did your gym get it? πŸ™‚

    Thank you!!

My gym is my garage lol. The attachment is called a top squat. https://www.sorinex.com/products/top-squat
That is the link you can find it at. I don’t have any affiliation with the company, but every time I post it I get a lot of questions about it so I keep the link handy lol[/quote]

    Awesome. Thank you!

I just wanted to update this post. I did continue with my tub of EAAs. Kubas tricked worked well. I just blended it with so little water that I drank it done in 3 seconds and swalled it, and it worked nicely.

However, I got ordered more EAAs from the EU site. And I picked the 1 kg one in the bag. The taste is the same. Orange.. πŸ™‚

The taste is much milder and sweeter in this one and I like it. So either the flavour has changed by design or there was something odd with my previous. πŸ™‚

Most importantly its all good now πŸ™‚

Holy the amount of spelling mistakes… I have to translate myself:
