To actually come with a serious answer what worked for me is to think about something that drives agression and also having discipline to keep rests just about long enough. If my rests are longer then what I actually need, I get frustrated by myself. Attacking a set with everything you have is a skill that one must practice daily.

Put some Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman or any other type of classical music on before your top set. 😉

MemberSeptember 7, 2022 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Quad & Hamstring training volumeEven as someone who train 14 sets for chest, 12 sets for biceps, 18 sets for back etc every week my total leg volume every 5-6 days is around 16 sets for upper legs (quads and hams).
Usually 2 exercises for hams and 3 for quads. Leg days is training on a new level compared to other parts recovery wise and how draining they are.
I tend to spend almost 3 hours on leg days for just those og 5 sets. I cant imagine it being higher without increasing frequency.
If I were to do between 20 to 30 sets it would be a pump workout with shorter brakes and lower intensity.

Thanks for answering. 😊

Looks like you creeping up the volume a bit in your recent posts from 2 sets to 3 sets. Are you just autoregulating volume because I would assume frequency is a bit lower?
Lasso guard and De La Hiva is some advanced guards at least in my book. Seems you are progressing quite fast. 👌🏻😊

MemberSeptember 5, 2022 at 3:07 am in reply to: Reducing load on knee after knee painThat degree of extreme knee pain needs to be addressed. I agree that knee sleeves are a fantastic alternative.
Even though you have no knee pain currently, I’d think back to what exercise spurred on the knee pain last session and avoid it for now, only doing exercises you know cause no issues. Reducing loading then slowly rebuilding.
Thank you Kiera. Thinking back I allready noticed knee on my first sets on the first exercise for quads. Which was regular high bar squats that sessions. I will avoid that for now and do something else and be very careful. 😊

I would drop out the wraps and replace them with some knee sleeves. I’d recommend the SBD ones. This would bridge the gap nicely between wraps and bare knees.
Also think about your exercise selection and choose movements that are slightly less aggressive on your knees. Leg presses, leg extensions etc are good options as are Bulgarian split squats when performed correctly. Higher rep sets with lighter loads would also be a good option here I would presume.
Whichever exercises you select load them with slow progression to evaluate their effect on your knees.
If the knee pain is still there with changed exercise and reduced load it would be worth getting the opinion of a physio or medical professional.
Hi Adam. Thanks for answering. I will take all those suggestions on board and adjust.

Really impressed by your physique Kuba. Going to be so cool to see you next time on stage with that package.
Also loving your IG content recently with your tips. I try sharing those as aften I can haha 🙂

Yes. If intensity is high you of course can. I think never the less that its a good starting point and you can gradually increase it over time if you recover based on intensity.

MemberSeptember 4, 2022 at 2:11 am in reply to: Muscle growth during cruise phaseI would say yes. Growth is more dependant on your ability to eat, rest and train hard. Drugs are just icing on the cake. At least they should be.
Also in the 80s etc they grew off season without drugs and saved the time on for contest prep.
This blasting and cruising is pretty recent thing in the bigger scope of things.
