My opinion is that as long as volume is equated, the split doesn’t really matter as much as many people think. It’s just a tool for structuring volume through a period of time. (Brad Schoenfeld is of the same opinion with his research) It’s more up to personal preference at this point. What you feel works best for you. This might depend more on your weaknesses like if you have a strong back and arms and weak Chest and Shoulders. I would say your split makes perfect sense as you will hit those muscle groups at the beginning of your workout.

I would say try it out and let us now how you like it 🙂

I would say almost the opposite haha. If you need improvement in your legs you would train your quads and hams together. Just as if you need improvement in your arms you will train biceps and triceps together.

So if your arms is in a good spot you can do:

    Legs
    Push

    Pull
    Rest
    Legs
Push or Pull (depending on what is strongest bodyparts)
    Rest
    Repeat

I used to struggle with depression when I was younger. And I had no proper control over it. What happened was that I was at first sad as I felt neglected by people around me and I felt pushed out from social groups. This was my viewpoint and not always objectively true. But this is how I felt at the time.

Sadness unless adressed will lead to bitterness, and bitterness will lead to anger. So when I saw someone who was successful in areas I felt I failed, I got angry. First I managed to keep it to myself, then it turned into posting passive aggressive remarks.

So from someone who has been on the other side, and had to really really work hard on the core issues that lead to this behavior I can confidently say that the motivation for their remarks is either depression or jelousy. Maybe a nice mix of both.

The best lesson to give people like this is to ignore them. Postive reaction to them will make them feel good. Negative reaction will make them annoyed. But if there is one thing people like this really hate, it’s being ignored. So ignore them and they will find out that if they don’t change like I had to, they will end up alone 🙂

Hilly says 3-4 weeks. I am in even worse in that case. I don’t notice much before week 6-7, and thats on short esters. Which makes no sense to me at all, or I am really bad at noticing things, or running too low doses (which would surprise me) and I actually feel I have the best results in terms and look and strength 2 weeks after my cycle.

  • Thanks for the response! I’ll give that a try. I think after my cardio session would be the perfect time for some arm work. Hopefully get my arms to catch up with the rest of my body

Nothing wrong with trying new things.

    I did:

    Legs
    Chest Shoulders
    Back
    Legs
    Chest Shoulders
    Back
    Arms
    Rest

    Repeat.

    Hope it helps.

One little trick you could try that seem to work for many people is to set the seat on the leg extention quite far up so you can actually sit with your but high up on the back pad.

You need almost a space of 2-3 inches between your butt and the pad you normally sit on. Use heavier weight than normal and kick the weight up hard and hold for 2 seconds. It will be shorter range of motion but you will feel it quite a lot in your tear drop. This might help.

Except that I recommend go super deep especially on the hack squat and you can also do 1.5 reps where you focus the extra on the bottom position.

And except all that again I agree with the posts above.

There is no exercises you absolutely must do. I only Squat because I love it. When I don’t like it anymore I switch to V Squat or something like it.

  • If you think your arms need a lot of improvement I would run bis and tris together on a seperate day. Your split will basically turn into a classic bro split which is not a problem.

There is nothing magical about PPL, its just practical if you want to train your body 2 times a week. No reason to be married to a specific split. (Just saying this as many people think PPL is the split above all splits).

I noticed improvements in my arms when I took bis from pull and tris from push and ran them together on a seperate day. And nothing stops you from actually keeping in a couple of sets on bis or tris on pull and push.

This is my take on it. Hope it helps.
