    Hey Jordan,

When you listed say 3 x 8-12…are all to absolute failure even if having to reduce load with each set to meet rep target?

    thanks

    Hey Guys,

    Currently doing U/P/off/L/P/P/off

But looking to move to P/P/L…..question if training on 5 fixed days say
    Monday
    Teusday
    Thursday
    Friday
    Saturday
and rotating the 3 different days do you see issues training LEGS before a PULL day when the rotation comes around?
    thanks

Dr Dean thank you so much! This is 100% the case I am sure….I normally do have some but ran out a while back and naturally forgot to put on list.

Cheers for the reminder…Onto it today..

Great end to 2nd week real off season and blast…weight is 95.5kg upon waking and strength/quality of lifting is bang on.

Will continue to push hard until body tells me I need to de-load / back off then either hit only high reppers for a few days OR take 5 days off entirely. I anticipate another 4 weeks until this point….

OFF day today…did a 16hr fast for some digestive rest etc…incorporating this twice a week on OFF days with good results atm.

Ok injury going well…no impact to UPPER body workout, however I could feel it so had to manage form having still hitting higher loads:)

Today was my real test given I was doing Deficit deads…I ramped up slow until I could kind feel like any more, I would possibly make it worse…ended up using a decent load and did touch and go with a 3sec eccentric…worked a treat!

    Hey James,
    Happy New Year pal!

Just a Q re your training volume…have you found slightly less volume to be working out better for you?

Compared to Jordans typically set up in the past(I have a couple older programs) he / you seem to have moved to a bit less…albeit I am sure intensity may be even higher due to your strength hence less need for more movements/sets…

    thanks

Happy new year Jordan / everyone here…

Re training principles J, have you adopted adding in more “lighter/volume based” work for the extra frequency moving forward from what I can see? When I see terms like “top up” or “metabolic work”….this is my interpretation.

So instead of hammering the frequency via the older approach of hard and heavy all week, albeit with higher rep stuff in too, you are building higher frequency stuff in to enable more longevity perhaps?

APOLOGIES if this has already been answered btw.

thanks and REALLY appreciate the info,

    Hey Corinne!

YES this is a possibility and if anything the most limiting factor for such early workouts for sure. I do down 1LTR upon waking then a 2LTR intra…but I think I should maybe have more when I wake to pee during the night next time.

Hit UPPER today with zero impact to my training thankfully..so wrapped about that. I felt it but worked with it well…:)

    Cheers,

    Happy New Year All!

Hit Lower this morning upon waking super early…was under the 4:30am, having only an INTRA drink as fuel but had obviously eaten enough the day prior. I do these semi fasted workouts when times call for them…(i.e family days whereby I don’t want my passion for lifting to take over).

Having had some patella issues that past few weeks, today I took extra care / time to work on the mechanics of my squat as to not load the joints near as much…worked out VERY well. I kept 160kg for first loading set for a solid 10 reps with minimal knee issues compared to last time 🙂 – WIN

During some paused squats following the loading sets I got a little lower back pump which lingered for the rest of the session…to the point when during BB RDL warming up I was using 140kg and tweaked my damn rotator or tere’s…very minor but still felt a slight pop so racked it and did Hypers instead. HOPEFULLY no issues during UPPER body tomr….bit sore when stretching overhead as I type this 10hrs since training but otherwise ok.

REALLY hoping it doesn’t impact my Deadlift session in 3 days time! Having a good run with deads!

Brilliant LOWER body day today which was targeting Glutes/Hams more so…HIGH day diet wise circa 3500 cals mostly clean with last meal not a full on cheat rather oat/raisin cookies + usual casein/yogurt blend. (normally I end a HIGH day with a full cheat meal — keeping this to 1 a week).

Hit 200kg for 10 solid reps on Conventional Deads for my first loading set so happy with that and the quality was good.

If anyone is interested my instagram is the physique engineer….

    Cheers guys

    Hey Guys,

    Merry Christmas all…

Just wanted to hear Stefan’s thought’s on METFORMIN use? It seems the entire professional industry is split on it’s use as a tool…whilst some swear by it’s addition, other are completely against… :/

    thanks

    Merry Christmas guys,

Busy time hence lack of posting….I have started my official OFF-SEASON phase now with gear back up and training just the same;)

Test Cyp + NPP + Primo running a total of 1750mg / mg…I split these shots into EOD doses to keep it simple in terms of timing.
Ancillaries are 25mg Proviron and 20mg Nolva daily

Diet we have pushed calories up a little and essentially having 2 x HIGH days, 3 x MEDIUM days and 2 x LOW days(which I may fast on keeping same cals…yet to decide as I don’t like fasted and my digestion is great tbh).

Training back to U/L/L/P/P as mentioned and tweaking some lifts to suite my mechanics best…i.e canning heavy HACKS cuz ALL I feel is knee pain…could be the HACK at my current gym though.

Body and energy is feeling perfect for the push..bloods taken and I’ll get results this week or next..anything off I will back off but I am quitely confident they are good given I did not run high dosing post contest during rebound.

Onward and Upward ….. Hope EVERYONE else training is going fantastic also!

    Hey Josh,

You can absolutely still make progress…keep this mindset when you hit the gym and ironically you may feel even better on a low dose in terms of well being(I have and have hit PB’s)….I kept great condition during the cruise whilst keeping some cardio in and diet TIGHT.

Having said this I start a offseason blast tomorrow lol.
