I asked the same question few weeks ago, and dear Oscar provided a very good explanation and feedback on my u/l with arm focus, check it out.

Do you know your weaker areas?

Hey Chloe, i may not be the original poster but i have the same trouble on whether to choose U/L or PPL.
I have 3 year experience of training hard, by far the biggest and most developed is my chest and per usual front delts, biceps is okay, back and triceps needs more work and legs as well.
Any suggestions?
thanks

Fully agree with Oscar here mate. I have badly lagging arms and this approach massively helped (needs masses more help!)
Cheers mate

This looks decent but I did a split similar and personally my preference was to start with 3 sets of a push down/extension variation .. whilst fresh it allowed me to load heavy , be more accurate and warmed my elbows and filled my triceps up ready for the weighted dips that came after .
Thank you Oscar, that’s definitely what I will do. 3 sets of Pushdown at the start, how about Dip volume, 1 set or 2?
I would take one dip …one set and perform it as accurately and intensely as if i had a gun to my head ..
Will do that, thank you for your time -

Thanks Oscar for comment, anyone care to look?
Hey jakub,
I think most of the guys have looked but if there feel the question has been answered, they won’t repeat the same answer.
You are right there, but i came to conclusion that much volume is too much for me, next day after upper i was f’ed, sleep was awful, maybe if i was training with 1-2 reps in the tank that would be manageable but since i am not ever planning to compete i think i will be good with cutting the volume in the half haha
