Lower session today, which is low volume, and very strength focussed

    Prone leg curl
    45deg Leg press
    SLDL
    Seated Calf
    Standing Calf

I’m now away with work that means a 3 day break for me. I don’t ever really enjoy extended periods off, but it’s a decent tike for me to take it.

Lots of food prep sorted, last meal for this evening going in, then sleep

  • My personal view is that rep progress and load increments using micro plates are absolutely measures of progress for the lifts you cite as examples.

    Upper bits today

Put back some movements that I used to be really good at and there had been a very honest moment with myself.

I’m actually pathetic. LOTS of work to do now to get strong again. I’m in and I’m game, but this needs sorting!!

Oxcloth is another one that I’ve heard good things about, although can’t say I’ve tried

F&S seems to be a winner unless you’re BIG and then I think it won’t go high enough

Back and food prepping now, one meal to go and then bed before upper tomorrow

Agree with Kuba here mate, just because they “feel” fully recovered, does that mean they are?

Lots of the team here experience very light or even no DOMS, so what is your measure for them being “fully recovered” in that case?

That extra day of rest will likely aid performance, and you’ll be itching to get after them.

Rested up today guys before three in a row over the coming days.

Very much enjoyed catching up on the UFC card…. Well, minus the Rose x Esparza fight ?

Got all my meals and supps prepped for tomorrow, all my meals are sunk for the day and I’m hitting my bed and checking out for the night.

    Until tomorrow

Agree with the gang here. I think early on it’s good to get a breadth of movements in, and realistically, it wont hinder you until you’re really quite proficient

From there it’s getting a handle on what your body/circumstances does and doesn’t allow you to recover from

I’d try it mate and see if it hurts your elbows

Both of the above are good options mate. Cable and DB variations.

    Hi mate,

Agree with Marc, if everything is progressing well, I’d leave it as is.

You have new movements to introduce when you eventually do stall, so make the most of the purple patch you’re in right now, and know that you you have new progress to come when required

Turns out this upper/lower shiz needs a bit more rest.

I was totally spent today, so took an extra rest day. Just working through food prep now and then I’ll eat and get to bed for legs tomorrow

    Hi mate

Wry individual, and you’ve clearly stated that the wider grip doesn’t give you a feeling that your chest is being worked hard. If you get that from the narrower grip, great, run with it
