Hi team, I had a rest day today – not sure how much my knees enjoyed yesterday’s squats, but I’m hammering the Cure Coming and Join-In!

I’d definitely go with two on, one off, two on, two off.

Whether you choose upper/lower or PPL is down to what your needs are, but I think it’s the right training to rest days

Basic as basic today which led to a forced step away from the usual philosophy.

A squat variation and a hinge variation. It’s far from ideal, but it’s also not a bad thing with where I’m at. Time to add some lbs to the bar!

Agree with the gang. Another option is weightlifting shoes.

You can of course also look to alter your stance, but this will change the focus of the movement so you’ll need to come wider whether that’s a viable option.

It’s been a good weekend of rest, food, and some UFC

Looking forward to this week, I’ll give my shoulders every chance and see if I can use this time productively – that’s the aim.

Hilly is right, this has been asked a lot, short answer from me is that if you weigh it raw, you will always have a consistent measurement, no variation to come from any inconsistency with cooking

That said, I imagine cooking method will pretty much always be the same, so the most important thing is that you choose something and be as consistent with it

As I’ve said, bit of an extended rest before deciding to do anything

I’ve been very tired today so the rest is most welcome

As an intra combo I would definitely say that sustain and MPS are the stand out choices mate

    Agree with Clare mate.

Pump and Dial-In will give you other benefits that you’d like associated with a pre whilst you step away from the stimulant for a while

Taking a few days rest to let myself fully recover as I finalise my ideas of how to approach this period

I’m less afraid of a sustained period “off” if that’s what I decide. It might be time to focus on the remedial things I’ve ignored and look to fix up some broken bits. I’ll see where I fall

Agree with the team here, my preferential options would be, in no particular order….

    Change of stance
    Change of rep range
Shift to single leg variation but via split stance rather than conventional single leg

I like it too mate. Plenty of room for recovery here, so if well programmed should yield some great progress

Wrapped up gym usage with legs.

Let’s see what the next month (or without being cynical, more) brings.

    I definitely wouldn’t bother

Best case scenario it’s expensive flavouring, worst case (and very unlikely) you’re messing with your Leucine refractory period

Use a more conventional flavouring mate
