How are you feeling now mate? Has this now gone and you’re back to it?

Really happy with this evening’s pull session. Starting to get some meaningful strength back which makes me happy.
Rest day tomorrow which will be well needed, then back to legs on Saturday.
Sorted food prep for tomorrow, about to have my last meal and then sleep time

Why don’t you run through the upper/lower you’ve put together and see how that works with a 75min window?
If you’re super disciplined about focussing only on your work in there, you might find you can make the timings work.
Keep us posted mate, if it needs amendments/prioritisation, we can look at that with you.

Hi mate
Baby rice or rice flour are both options if readily available?

Firstly, welcome to the community.
It’s good you’ve put some consideration to what might benefit you most, but ultimately, if life doesn’t allow the time for a FB split, it’s not the right choice for you.
Fortunately there are lots of good splits that can work with individual circumstances. High levels of accuracy, effort, and consistency will see most splits yield good results.
I think U/L is the sensible step on from full body, I would just be uncertain about whether an hour is long enough to execute well.
I don’t know many people that run an upper/lower and come in under the one and three quarter to two hour mark.
That’s not saying it can’t be done, but if you’re resting well and preparing well, time soon ticks on.
I’d be loathed to compromise session quality for clock watching, if you can’t stretch your workouts, I’d probably be tempted to move to a PPL.
With that said, by all means try your set up and see how it works for you time wise, as I said though, I’d really try to protect the quality of what happens in the time you give yourself to train, so if it turns into a cardio session to fall into time, I’d re-think.
Hope that’s a helpful start Matt. Let us know how you get on.

Push session this evening. Wasn’t my best in truth, joints felt a little bit off today. Not a drama, but not as “free” feeling as recent sessions have been.
One meal left tonight and then pull session tomorrow evening which I’m hoping is now it’s final set up

Hi Erik
Highly recommend the TBJP fleeces for these exact scenarios

Hi Joe,
You’ve given us no context about yourself, so it isn’t possible to comment on what’s “needed”.

And if you think that range doesn’t work for you , do the the one you think that does .
also just a question you know how you said 8-12 is the best do you train in 8-12 or do you train in a different range because when i look on your instagram its usually 5 reps or does it just vary?[/quote]
Please try not to worry about what Jordan does, you don’t have the same training history, you don’t have the same set of circumstances, replicating what he does makes no sense at all as you will be well aware that every choice he makes is based on a personal need, a personal preference, and an informed decision based on personal experience and knowledge. For the very same reason, I should not just do as Jordan does, nor should Oscar, or Kuba, or Kam, or Meg, or anyone outer than Jordan.

Legs today and the best one I’ve had in as long as I can remember
I’ve said that a few times recently, definitely a very nice trajectory and one I’m staying patient with and not taking for granted
Push work on the cards for tomorrow, meals are prepped and supps are ready.
One meal left tonight and then an early sleep. Back to the long days tomorrow

Hi mate
Personally I’d move your peri-workout around
I’d have meal 2 90-120mins before you train depending on how well your food sits
I’d then take your HBCD and move that to intra, eliminating the banana and adding the carbs in HBCD
The EAA I would take from the 45min pre and the post, and combine with your intra EAA giving you 35g and I’d take that just as you’re going into the gym floor, then sipping your HBCD over the first 2/3 of your session
Post, I’d then bump your whey up a bit but will leave you to consider how that sits with total macros

Rest day today and I’ve actually rested. Had a good amount of sleep last night but woke up feeling under rested, so with the exception of a few errands and little jobs, I’ve spent most of today doing not a lot, and intend to make tomorrow similar with the exception of a leg session 😏
One meal left tonight, then a good sleep

Hi mate
A really good way to increase the number of failure points, and with it, stimulating reps.
But that comes with a recovery cost.
I genuinely think in more rather than less cases, having something you can accurately and consistently progress over time is the “best” approach.
I do think they can be used with good effect if you understand the cost, and how to execute them to allow progression over time

I’m inclined to agree with Bish, carrying some tenderness into sessions isn’t necessarily a sign you won’t perform, and I’d certainly be going in with every expectation of progressing
You’ll soon know if there is a recovery issue that will limit performance

Thank you guys, looks like I need to sit down and make a decision on what route I want to jump into, I truly love bodybuilding I just don’t think I will ever be good at it as I am 6’4” so that’s why I opt to running but bodybuilding brings me the most joy and want to be good at it, just don’t think I’ll ever be able to carry the size needed
Not if you don’t go after it you won’t.
Speak to Jamie Johal and Josh Maley, both of whom are 6’ 6”.
You can’t guarantee an outcome, other than if you don’t try, you’ll get nowhere.
You’ve said you love bodybuilding, so you get to love it every day, get to immerse yourself in the process, get to improve every day.
But equally you don’t have to, just seems like you’re defining an outcome before you’ve started.
