NEWS – what’s up guys ok so we’ve been informed to do an oversees international pro qualifier (ie. Portugal my show) you now have to have done a regional show in your own country – luckily there’s the Watford 2bros show 2 weeks before Portugal so I’ll now be competing in just under 7 weeks time! Good job we’re on track then eh!!! Haha
Also, sick leg session today and then off for a long walk on the hill by me. Not cardio just an hour or so stroll to collect my thoughts and chill. I love doing that – nothing mental but so so good to get out and clear your head!
did they give any reason to why you have to do a regional? I plan on doing Denmark towards the end of the year. just seems like a way form them to make extra money and completely goes against the shows being open to compete anywhere?

What a weekend it’s been at bodypower. Met so many people and also was so good to have the whole team together. Had a quality session with the lads on Saturday evening and resting today because I’m knackered!! Haha back to it tomorrow!! Pull day tomo! As always guys if you have any questions about anything at all fire away

Cheers guys. I’ve tried Alsorts. The worse one is grenade calbre 50. Fuk me the crash is unreal and appetite goes to shit. Any body else used it lol?
I dropped a double serving of this and also an AD shredabull. Safe to say that was not my wisest move to date, ended up puking over the treadmill and puking my guts up in the disabled toilets haha
got hundreds of the grenade ones left which I haven’t used since 🙂

TRIGGERED AN EPIPHANY …..made me realise…I really don’t want to work with more people at the moment…noooo thank you….I have such a nice lot….I want to be able to put more into them and into Jordan prep, rather than spread myself thinner…
as they say….better to have a slice of cake then a crumb!

push day today. Felt strong after some extra food yesterday, moved 250kg for reps on the iso press then moved onto 75kg dumbs and on the 8th rep something went in my right pec. I new i hadn’t torn it as there was no noise but i stopped straight away. Its tender now so probably done some minor damage. I moved onto shoulders and triceps and will rest my chest for a few days before getting some treatment. I think i need to start being abit more senible now, a pec tear is game over in bbuilding. So a close call but i live to fight another day.
I’ve done this so many times deep into a set, especially with heavy db’s. it’s never on the first few always towards to latter end of the set so I am always super skeptical now with chest and know when to back off. Hope it recovers quick bud and glad it wasn’t more serious

I’m back!
Last 2 weeks have been pretty shit, diet and training have been super slack. Shoulder has thrown me off plus had some personal stresses.Started back 100% yesterday, back to full training (still obviously easing my back back in on push) joined the new gym and diet back on track.
So will start logging daily again.
9 weeks until I start prep, weight 111.4kg but this will climb back up fast.
Pictures taken yesterdaythere must be something about these last couple of weeks mate, I’ve been feeling the strain of life also.. on the plus side your pics look better for it haha

Tuesday
push session for me…after meal 1 today as im seeing friends, theatre and meeting new babiesobvs everything is prepped and packed….I know you were all very concerned
Couple of Q’s
1) How do you find it mentally during prep being able to socialise and go to places ect? Do you find this helps keep a balance and stops you obsessing over prep and feeling the demands? Obviously we have to obsess in prep. just mean from a mental break kind of thing.
2) As you and JP are away from each other more now than before, how has that been on your coach/client relationship? Do you find not seeing him in person every day, you are able to spot things and make changes more easily and vice versa for him with your physique?

I also agree that meal prepping is a huge must when trying to get the meals in. Secondly, I know you, from years back! You used to sometimes train with Joss at Samson’s Gym in Eastleigh, right? I’m talking 2009-2011 time. Small world ey! Anyway, I’m glad to see you are still at it. I’m still struggling somewhat with the eating, especially post-WO, but I get it in… Albeit, I don’t get to bed until 1am on those nights usually!
Ah wow, yeah that’s right! I used to love coming down to Samson’s to train. I haven’t seen or heard from Joss in years.
Just followed you on Insta. will be following the journey mate. looking in awesome shape. Hope you and the little family are well

was very interesting listening to your mindset and how you feel in that post mate. We are all super critical on ourselves and only see flaws when many others just see you and think WOW. Only You know what is best for you and when you do decide to go for it, it will be a spectacle to see.
loved following the journey over the years and looking forward to seeing this next phase.

I have a 8 and 10 year old and my wife and I now have 11 month old Son so I know exactly how you feel ha.
like you I work full time and train after work, then on my rest days my wife goes to work and works all weekend so it’s just me and the kids.
getting the meals in on those days and in the evenings I struggle with also, I find if I have all of the meals prepped this makes it easier and it’s just the case of trying to eat it as quickly as possible. Weekends is difficult as my appetite disappears as I’m so busy with the kids.
last year when my son was born I switched tried to train in the mornings like you mentioned, from my experience I found the first few weeks good, full of energy ect as it was something new. But I really struggled to train hard and heavy enough to progress and I would be tired at work mid morning/afternoon.
Now I train in the evening again with 3 rest days a week so I’m home. I only have 2 meals after training too so I still try and get to sleep at a decent time. The typical cereal, whey, chicken and rice, bagel ect so its quick and easy.
Hopefully you’ll settle into a routine and it will become easier. My son is such a happy baby but literally sleeps for like half hour max and won’t nap during the day.. I can’t remember a time where I haven’t been tired ha.

I have the same issue, my guts and digestion wreck havoc with normal whey, Isolate and I’m perfectly fine. I just use the Myprotein Whey Isolate with no issues at all.

I would begin to decrease your cardio and increase you calories, bodyfat wise from the picture (obv cant see other areas) your in a good spot, as you have mentioned the plan is to compete and need to add some mass.
keep dieting down and your wasting valuable time in growing IMO, keep things nice and clean and you won’t see your bodyfat rise too much.Instagram: @adamedw4rds
