Good couple of sessions the last couple of days. I’ve dropped around 2kg (just under) I started my diet phase on Monday.

Took 200kg x 8 on my back off set on deadlifts today which is the best I’ve had that back off set and is only 1 rep down from when I last done 200 in my top set. So dead happy with that.

Good lower session today and managed to take some added reps here and there. My joints, particularly my knees felt it a bit more but that’s probably an accumulation of bejng heavier and the mass amount of steps I done yesterday.

Rest day tomorrow, my sleep tonight is already gonna be a bit shit as I’ve been called into work at 4am so I have to be up by around 2am which isn’t uncommon with what I do. But that’s life and we crack on like we need too. I will not make excuses to not get things done because there isn’t any. I relish the opportunity to prove the point that regardless of the hrs you work and being pulled from pillar to post, that the work outside of that can be done!

    Very good upper session!

Took 52.5s on Flat DB for 6 decent reps, best before was 5. Tried out a different shoulder press free weight machine which actually pretty decent.

I also took +40kg for some reps on dips which I’ve never touched before. I’ll push as hard as I can to continue to better my numbers for as long as the diet phase allows me too.

Also ended up with a mega 30k+ step count which is a lot more than I normally target but that’s the joys of working in an emergency service, some shifts you get pulled from pillar to post

Rest day today and the start of the diet phase.

Weighed in at 98kg//216Ibs which is up 22kg//48.5Ibs since the start of June 2023. Fully aware that I defo gained a bit too much fat than what was needed during this phase but most BB do it at some point and we live and learn. I did also end up being the strongest I’ve ever been and I’m intrigued to see the aftermath of the cut.

I’ve had very little issue in cutting weight before and is something I’ve done a few times, especially when I use to Box a lot more.

As it’s a rest day plenty of steps to be done

Good couple of sessions this weekend and progressed some lifts.

Diet phase starts tomorrow, I’ll weigh in when I wake and update the log in due course regarding my current weight is, how much I gained etc etc. Been a long time since I’ve been lean lean so looking forward to seeing what the built in the last 18-20 months

Very good lower session. Took a rep on 3.5PPS on the hack top set then also took a rep at 3pps on the back off. Also took a rep at 10PPS on the leg press (well technically a squat press) but a session filled with PBs so can’t have any complaints.

    Rest day tomorrow

Solid upper session this evening. Took a nice PB on 55s on flat DB press. Rest of the work also remained decent across the bored.

3 sessions left and the diet phase begins

Very good upper session on Monday. However my week highlight came in my lower session yesterday where I took 220kg x 5 on deads. Which is something I’ve wanted for a while and 3 deadlift sessions prior I took it for 4 and I said I felt the potentially could have been a 5th but had too much doubt to take said rep but made sure there was no doubt in taking it yesterday!

Rest day today, standard tbh had work, 10k+ steps done etc.

Back to my normal upper sessions again. Elbow seems to be fine. DB press is back into play. Goo session all round. Also met Joe Ballinger at Muscleworks today. Solid geeza.

Very good lower session yesterday. Pulled 240kg on deads for the first time. It should have gone for 2 but I messed up the initial rep and it made the lockout ridiculously difficult but an error that rarely occurs. Next session we crack on and do better

Quality Lower session, took 220kg on deads for 4, the 5th defo could have been there but the lock out would have been rough but I feel it could have been done. First time have taken 220 x 4!

Personally if it was 50/50 sometimes it’s the wise choice to leave it and fight for it another day as now you will be confident it’ll be there next time .
If you took it today it might have taken so much from you and affected the rest of the session negatively. So sometimes it’s about leaving the dance floor at the right time ..[/quote]

Good upper session yesterday, kept the adjusted session as my elbow is a lot better but not 100% so thought I’d give it the extra session.

Met Lee Priest on Thursday at Zone Gym in North London. Decent seminar and an incredibly down to earth bloke.

Lower A today meaning Hack Squat

Fucking elite leg session. Took 230 x 3 on deads which I was massively happy with as I’ve never pulled anything above 225 before. Rest day tomorrow but I will be meeting Lee Priest so that’s cool.

The elbow also feels a lot better.
