    happy Easter Friday

    what a lovely day! the heat wave is real…it seems

    which is great because my boiler has… ‘had it’…that’s the technical term actually – HOORAY! ..so that was fun yesterday, sitting in between 8-5 for the guy (who was lovely actually) to come and say….cant help you…

    why cant they give a time slot either? such a waste of day…he came at 3.30 btw….so very nearly the last haha

    out of interest…has anyone every had a time of 8-5 and had the person arrive at 8am? or is it a lie? haha

    anyway session today was fab…PUSH CHEST FOCUSSED SESSION – my client Sammy came and trained…she didn’t know, her partner, Ash, arranged it on the sly! apparently when they turned up at the gym, she said ‘I wonder if Corinne is training today’ still didn’t twig haha

    honestly….what a wonderful person!! trained really well and really hard
    she is also 6 weeks out! that’s cool….and genuinely not a moan in ear shot…you wouldn’t even know she was prepping…which i adore…as you all know nothing bores me more than a moaner!

    (unless its about a dry piece of brownie, or having no hot water haha)

    TRIGGERED AN EPIPHANY …..made me realise…I really don’t want to work with more people at the moment…noooo thank you….I have such a nice lot….I want to be able to put more into them and into Jordan prep, rather than spread myself thinner…

    as they say….better to have a slice of cake then a crumb!

    some of them (you) read my blog/are on the site….so don’t get big headed haha …. I AM STILL ICE QUEEN haha πŸ˜‰

    when you say drop set…do you mean its just a 2nd working set which is lighter in weight…OR do you actually mean its an immediate drop set?

    but it would be better to have 20g eaas intra
    then on finish – 30g protein from whey

    if we all spend Β£30 on easter eggs…then we have raised the average spend…therefore is it more justified? I think that’s good logic…. πŸ™‚

    well Im eating my wants and words from Tuesday….I am the biggest pile of mashed potato right now….in fact add cheese and chive and call it a double serving haha (when will I learn that I am not funny? hmmm)

    LEG PULL

    trap bar pulls on a plate to create a slight deficit – 140 kg x 16….180kg x 10 (ON MY IG IF PEOPLE CARE TO VIEW IT)
    trap bar pull into shrug…one fluid movement – 60kg x 20

    COULD HAVE FINISHED THE SESSION THERE !

    prone cable lat pull – 1 load, 1 PIV
    single arm lat row – 1 high rep BUT only got 12
    paused pendulum (count of 1,2) – 17 reps…last time I got 12 …
    single leg leg press – failure at 18, 2 breaths, failure at 4 (22 total)
    into stretch

    seated ham single leg – 1 load, 1 PIV
    adductor alternated with abductor – 2 sets of each

    stretch

    toes press calves – RP
    seated calves – 1 DC set

    and that was me…wiggle wiggle out the gym, the evening has been spent very sedentary – mainly repeating to the dogs ‘I feel smashed’

    I need 4 meals of 200g chicken

    I weight out 800g of raw chicken

    I cook it

    I weigh it

    I divide the number by 4

    that number is 1 portion

    the ease was referring to the output of the session not the prep.
    push sessions are always less taxing than legs for example and I find that mentally hard because it feels ‘wrong’ to not feel totally and utterly mashed after training….BUT its an illogical thought

    more just a want / need to do more….which again is dumb and NOT what I will be doing

    more is not more

    the diet hasn’t changed in structure since I last wrote it up (just a page or 2 ago)….literally just a few kcals removed and ive explained where I removed those, so im not going to repeat every single time

    oooo shoot….sorry to hear about the pec…so odd to have happened on the 8th rep! hard to say that wasn’t sensible really – do u think it was the movement ie DBS and the vulnerability of the joint to stabilise? rather than the weight?

    do u find a slight incline to be safer?

    to confirm – I DO NO EAT PIG EYES πŸ˜‰

    so filmed the session today with Rebecca

    delts and tris

    it was

    crucifix delts – 3 point RP , 12 ish on the first
    forward facing shoulder press machine – 1 load set, 1 PIV set – FELT V GOOD TODAY, FIRST SESSION IVE FELT STRONG AGAIN
    narrow machine press – 1 load set, 1 PIV set
    single are rope push down – 1 RP set straight into a stretch
    pec dec – 1 stretched RP , so 5secs in the stretched position between reps – straight into a lying DB oec stretch
    single arm side delt machine lateral – 1 RP set into partials into an iso hold…straight into a stretch
    abs – rope crunch

    very focused very accurate session
    struggling with the ‘ease’ of it in all honesty and I am starting to feel anxious that I am behind

    im not as lean as i would like for 6 weeks out BUT equally, of course I have full trust in Jordan and I also know that I never ever feel on track in prep, so just a case of trying my best to put those demons from my mind
