Had my first proper leg session yesterday since quad tear 6 weeks ago, nothing crazy heavy but back to about 70%.. wiped me out afterwards and doms today are very bad so pulled back volume on my pull session to just 1 working set per exercise.
Even though I kept my weights at about 70% yesterday it was definitely a mental battle which I wasn’t expecting but back in the pendulum under a proper load I was very nervous and I’m sure I will be for some time but I have to get over this

Delt focus push today, pretty solid session with some good progress-
Matched last weeks 95 a side prime shoulder press for 7 but with much better execution, back off was up by 6 reps
Db shoulder press up by 3 reps and up by 4 in back off.
Strength still pushing up weekly despite no food or drug changes in 12+ weeks now and bodyweight still holding between 252-254
Since pushing increlex dose up I have noticed on a few occasions feeling a bit light headed/hypo so going to monitor blood glucose for the next few days -
What are you planning for your first cycle?

With something like this I’d get it checked out before doing any real loading on it- tomorrow as stated above load the good side normally but on injured side I’d literally do just the movements with no weight or very minimal

Always going to be some risk when using tren, lower dosage as hilly has mentioned 50mg eod or even 25mg eod potentially.
But really ask is it necessary for a simple dieting phase- could look to just increase or add in primo if not using -
Rest day today for me so spent most of the day working on client plans, eating and small walks just to keep activity in check.
Hoping now I can stay injury free and get a good solid run of training going over the next few months before starting prep -
you find a lot of differences in gear between patrick and your actual coach?
I don’t think it’s a case of comparing coach to coach gear approach as circumstances etc are different..

Very strange anything with curcumin in it could cause this – seen a few joint support products from other brands that are a dark yellow colour that could potentially cause this… if not then definitely consult your gp

I 100% see where you are coming from with this one and social media has become a huge part in this sport but I do like to think that when it comes to competing your physique does the talking and not your followers etc. that aside as Jordan has stated judging can never be controlled so it’s not even worth thinking about or placing your value on placing.
Just focus on building a physique you are proud of.
I love to train and have always admired those freaky looking bodybuilders with crazy strength so for me I just set that as my goal and each day try to get a step closer to it -
Great hamstring/back session today once I got going, decided to push up to 260kg on SLDL just to feel it and got 3 reps. Felt like I needed to just push myself today and also to just feel a new weight. Next week I will drop back to 240 again and aim for 10 reps.
Not much to update on other fronts as food has been the same for last 12+ weeks.
This week I have upped my increlex to 5iu per muscle on days trained so should be interesting to see what if any difference that makes. -
Hey Darren, I remember previously you spoke about a rough prep could have been a short prep on lots of cardio and pretty much zero carbs, can you talk a little about this please ?
Yes 3 years ago I was just doing a little cut and was sitting at 99kg and my coach at the time said I should do DUBAI muscle show- it was 14 days away and my cut off for classic (bodybuilding at the time) was 82kg…
I did 2 weeks of nothing but 6 meals of 150g white fish, 2 hours cardio and 2 weights sessions a day.
I made the weight but looked like a skeleton! Definitely not something I’d advise ever doing and was very stupid! -
Seems like a no brainer to me based on what you are saying- you are likely to enjoy your training far more and progress in this new gym

Woke up today feeling good after yesterdays rest day. In for push (chest focus)
Had a really good session – finding a good rhythm now with the prime incline and reps starting to feel a lot easier on 4 plates- hit 7 again today but with a lot more control. 10 will be there in coming weeks for sure -
Rest day today which was definitely needed, felt very drained today, legs heaven etc.
I’m going to assess how I feel tomorrow and if I’m still feeling beat up I will take another rest day or potentially lower output of training this week. -
This is exactly how I was doing double sessions 6 days a week- I was crazy full training but this was purely down to glycogen fullness from the high carbohydrate I was on- this is an illusion however and does not translate to muscle which I learnt as soon as I prepped and faded away to nothing.
