I should lower volume if I’m not progressing then yeah?

Have been back home and between work and seeing friends, family, work and training it has been challenging to manage my mini-cut. Looking at my Fitbit the calories I set were way too low, this caused the scale weight to fluctuate massively and I had a horrible push session last week where I felt super weak and log book numbers were down. I have now set out my plan for this week based upon training and working schedule and will continue to do this until I am back in England for uni.
Monday: Work/Non-training day – 3500
Tuesday: Legs/No work – 3700
Wednesday: No work/no training – 3300
Thursday: No work/no training – 3300
Friday: Pull/No work – 3500
Saturday: Push/Work – 4500
Sunday: Rest day/No work – 3300

Hi Emmet. I’m pleased you’ve found your way here and figured out a training split that’s more suited to you which you’re progressing well with.
How are you finding your diet? Do you get on well with high fats or is this a way of getting more calories in? How’s your digestion, appetite, energy levels, sleep etc?
Hi Clare,
I changed my fats on rest days based upon the TBJP diet planner. I also love hummus so it was a nice way to bring it back into my diet. I feel that it has increased my hunger, even on training days, helping me get food in. I try to keep my foods close to the vertical diet and have not felt a change to digestion. I have not noticed a change to sleep or energy levels.

Pull Push Rest Legs Rest
How are you getting on? Everything ok?[/quote]
Hi Oscar,
I can immediately tell that this split is better suited for me. I was previously using a plan I bought that had me doing way too much volume, especially for legs and before I changed the plan my log book numbers would barely change week on week. I am also really liking the variety that the plan has added which allowed me to actually think about different aspects of training I was not paying attention to before when I was blindly following a plan.

Emmet please go watch the you tube pull session myself and jordan did . It covers everything you need to know a building a decent back . Any more questions come back here and ask.
The only thing I am struggling with is finding and exercise to bias the lengthened range for upper back.
