If my strength in the gym was progressing and the scale wasn’t changing and my goal was all out muscle gain then I would add kcal to train days only around 150-200kcal

Im a little confused.
Were it states pre gym meal intra and post gym these would obviously be around training. so if you train around 5 then these are going to be later in the day.
meal 1 is going to be on waking.

this sounds perfectly normal.
Your on a low carb diet and your body is running at a certain rate and thus only creating so much heat (humans loose atleast 50% of the energy they generate as heat I believe) This will drop when we are in a deficit.
when you have a higher carb day your body creates more energy thus meaning more heat (this is actually amplified due to the long duration of low carbs).
the lethargy is from the fact your body is becoming more insulin sensitive due to being trained to run on low carbs.
when it senses a random large influx of carbs/sugars your body over produces insulin and this creates a feeling of lethargy as it pushes your blood glucose to low.
All very normal and expected body processes and every one goes through this when they diet. Should be expected and its a well read/reported happening.

So there is no major negative side effects to health from eating in a calorie surplus is the foods you are eating are right for your body, if you are exercising and watching your health.
So if you are gaining around 4-6lb a month on average, doing cardio, your BP, fasting blood glucose and resting HR are all ok and you feel good then there are no issues.
If these are out of wack, your going to the toilet irregularly – i.e – far to often with the runs or not enough with very hard to pass stools, bloated and gasy etc then the chances are you are over working your digestive tract by eating to much and the wrong foods.

SO I tend to reduce training frequency to allow more recovery.
as my off days are low carb days this then automatically reduces kcal intake.
I then manage my diet based on look and performance, its important to keep protein up and enough food to be able to bust ass in the gym and work to maintain as much muscle as possible.

So my weight is up higher than it should be and I just don’t look like im getting lean like I normally do, I also have jus realised the AI I have been using may very well be dodgy so I have some new stuff on the way that I no is real.

Trained legs sat. Hard bloody session but all was good
Was away till today in Scotland at a wedding. All meals hit. MisWd 2 yesterday at wedding as food was poor.
Weight was light today so upped carbs a little.
Trained chest and biceps tonight , good session – strength was gd n maintained.
