Yeah cross your fingers and pray…

Serious answer get off the gear learn how to train and eat you’ve got more than enough test in your sack at 20 years of age

Excuse me but there are several things wrong with this answer.

He may be a high level competitor and have a better physique than most of us here, been training for several years and this is an educated decision.

He may have had low Test already lol i have 2 clients that did so how much test in his sack may be irrelevant lol.

    Hi guys,

(FYI Female, 40, long time heavy lifter, goal of fat loss)

Why do a lot of body building (bro-science and professionals alike) still suggest carbs Post WO please? Like, as a “thing”, a rule, a “you should”.

I have heard of/read studies that seem to show the concept of the “anabolic window” has changed and carbs post WO have little effect on body composition and gains. e.g. https://www.jospt.org/doi/abs/10.2519/jospt.2018.0615

Due to my schedule I alternate my lifting time each week, between early morning and late afternoon (6x week), and I carb backload (for a few reasons, but mostly because I operate better during the day with less carbs / I like to feel full at night / to fill up the muscles with glycogen again ready for the morning sesh).

Just wondering what you think are the benefits of carbs post WO (recovery? how? what else?) and then I can work out whether I should alter my training/diet schedule.
Yep, probably over-thinking things, but if I can do stuff better and learn more and apply that knowledge then yay.

Thanks for your time and thoughts,
    Jess

If you look hard enough you can find a study to prove anything lol so i wouldnt start trying to do lots of reading into studies unless you have a background in that area as it can just become confusing and overwhelming.

Yes there is research to show that in terms of protein synthesis there is no need to have CHO post workout.

there is also alot of research to show having carbs plus protein enhances the MPS spike and also the duration it occurs for.

We also no that adding in CHO causes an insulin spike and release. This as a scientific fact increases nutrient uptake and storage and has been show to boost protein synthesis.

We are then also glycogen depleted coming out of some workouts so replenishing this for future workouts is a must if your intentions are to build our bodies and as its also a fact that the body is in a state were in can uptake and store CHO better PWO this is in my opinion the ideal time to take them in.

To add to all of this after training your body is in needing kcal and energy to recover and repair and out metabolism are heightened so to me it makes sense to take in more energy (kcal) and more nutrients when the demand is higher.

    Hi

I train at 5.30am and was wondering what the best thing is to have to eat at that time in the morning?
I get up at 4.30am and have whey and peanut butter but would it be better to have a proper meal ? Thanks

I have a few clients like that train like this. what i do is as follows.

have a decent carb meal pre bed.

Then on waking i advise a isolate shake with a banana

intra workout EAA/Carbs 30-50g starting to drink just as you head to gym.

It would make no sense or use at all to me to that cycle.

It’s really only of use like that in very specific scenarios

    No

Dextrose can cause blood sugars to crash.

Cyclic dextrin or vitargo is best.

    It’s a real head mess.

It’s always good to be as lean a you can be comfortably

This is exactly what a GDA does. It simply helps your body become more efficient at doing this

Lots of info out there on this and this site to learn and understand it

Maybe try spreading carbs out more during the day as an option.

To be honest a pump is a good thing n it’s rare to get brutal lower back pumps that are not gear related.

Have u tried switching some exercises out to prevent lower back stress

How much hmg do you use in your fertility experiment , also the other drugs ?

Where do you get hmg from as its hard to find ?

HCG – 5000iu split over MWF
HMG – 75iu TTS each day

Other stuff im using is things I am experimenting with for myself and wont be sharing as they may not work and be a waste.

I got mine from a source were I get my other supplements from and its not an online one as I don’t believe in these nor do they deal with many other people. I have used the same people for a long time.
