Why not do a rotating split and do push pull off legs off repeat?

Isaac for me if you are not advanced yet , if you are making progress , why don’t you just stick to push/pull/off/legs/off ?

A split that’s working , a split you can recover from & will help you put tissue all over .

Then at some point down the line , when you have rinsed all that set up has to offer , you can move to a split that’ll incorporate density day and all that. ?

Thanks for the advice Oscar. I do very well with the push pull off legs off setup. Sometimes I just see what others are doing and it can be distracting although I rarely change splits. In that case, if I have 2 pull days A and B with RDLs on Pull A. Would you run another hip hinge variation on Pull B or just do the one for recovery’s sake? Thanks ?

You recognising you get distracted by seeing what others are doing or sometimes as we all do think , that others are doing better than us because they are doing certain stuff we are not , is a moment of power. So we just have to check ourselves and remind ourselves that we must not let others distract us from our own process, we must not let others speed up our process.

To answer your question about the pulls I’d go with one variation just for the sole reason of practicing skill acquisition aspect of the hinge as hinging is a skill first before anything. So frequency in practice makes you better .
I appreciate the words. I’ll definitely keep doing my thing.

I personally like using hip hinges for back density as well. They will hit glute/hams but if you have a day in between pull and legs I’d give it a shot. I wasn’t doing any hinges for a little while just for fatigue’s sake and wanted to give my lower back a break but after adding them back in my traps/erectors/upper back are totally wrecked in a good way. They definitely help with added thickness for me.

Make sure you’re eating enough saturated fat, cholesterol and calories. Hit your RDAs. Get sunlight daily or as much as possible and 7-9 hours of quality sleep. Could supplement on top of that but if the above aren’t in check supplements won’t do much

    hello ?

i think its important to know what you are currently doing and then we can work from there

in terms of the process leading up to bedtime, not supplementation.

is this close to trainining? do you watch tv before bed? etc etc

when you wake up, is it often at the same time? ie 3am every night

do you feel hungry? do you need the loo? etc etc

Thanks so much corinne! So I workout at around 3-4 pm, when is normally my last intake of caffeiene. and then I normally go on my phone before bed time, and use the rest room, then turn the lights off and sleep. I wake up normally at 7 am on the weekdays and like 9-10 during the weekends, and turn the lights off at 10:45 pm! Let me know your thoughts thanks sm
Having caffeine that late would do it for me. I always keep consumption to the mornings like 9-11am. I’m assuming you’re getting it from pre workout so that might be difficult, but whenever I cut out caffeine my sleep is more restorative and I don’t wake up throughout the night

I like it. Looks similar to mine with the laterals starting both sessions as Jimmy suggested. I was doing incline DB presses first on my push B but the commercial gym I go to doesn’t have heavy enough DBs for me to progress on them as they only go to 100lbs so I swapped it for a machine press as well. I agree I don’t really like doing DB presses second.

It’s nothing out the ordinary or super steep. There are a few here in Dubai

Oh cool, I guess they’re a little more common than I thought. Gonna give it a shot, thanks

Not familiar with that model. Had a quick Google search and if it’s the one I saw it looks okayish. What’s the question for? Are you thinking of buying it or is it a piece in your gym you’re unsure of?

Now if you said what do you think of the Watson hack squat, well ??

It’s a piece at my gym. I’ve used it in the past but gonna give it a go soon. I actually asked the question BECAUSE I’ve heard of the Watson hack being so terrible. It’s not a common piece for sure but didn’t want to use it in case someone thought it might be a knee killer
