Look at the rep numbers matey , it’s not a milos type giant set . It’s straight into effective reps. So it’s basically like a drop set , but also look at my exercise selection , it loads the shortened into the lengthened portion of the Muscle , so imagine a drop set that maximises strength curves finishing on something that overloads the lengthened portion and drops off in the shortened.

    Pull was good!

My strap broke on my snatch Sldl , just as I pulled my 5th rep , annoying as I was defo on for a pb in that form

    Adductor x 26

    Snatch sldl x 4

    Neutral pull down x 11 , x 12

    Upper back row x 4 , x 11

    Chest supported row x 9 , x 7

    Lower lat giant set ( Pulldown x 6 into lower lat t chest support t bar x 5 into lower lat machine row x 4 ) , second time around x 7 x 4 x 3

    Shrug superset rear delt x 7 , x 9 , second set x 7 x 6 drop x 5 drop x 5

    Curl rest pause 15-4-3

    Single arm hammer x 17

Absolutely fucked tonight after the last two day’s .

We can get content sorted tmo , so the questions will all be done then that you guys have asked in the education section ????

I have 2 kids and I compromise with my other half the have 1-2 hours for training every other day. Then rest days I’m at home all day. Obviously I’m in this full time so it’s my job and is accepted from my partner and it’s not like this for everyone. That being said I do think we all need time to ourself for self improvement and to essentially extend your time on this earth with your family so 60 min a day is plenty for any kind of workout. For compounds no more than 1-2 working sets and then isolations take advantage of rest pause sets to make them essentially 1 working set

I have two kids and about to start a new job which will leave me limited for time for the next few months while I settle in. I’ll be aiming to train at lunch time so will need to be in and out within an hour including showering.

I’ve been playing about with doing tri sets.

    So Wednesday I did

    Trap bar deadlift

    Dips

    Chins

    X 5 sets

    Followed by

Bicep curls supersetted with band pull apart

    X 3 sets

    Hanging leg raise x3 sets

I did this in 30 mins

    Today I’m going to do

    Incline press

    Goblet squats

    DB Rdls

    X 5 sets

Side raises ss tricep pushdowns x3 sets

    Ab roller x3

Then will do another 2 other days  with squats/Db press/Db rows and barbell press/Db lunges/leg curls

Going to make sure I’m adding weight and reps as I go.

Different to what I’ve been used to (either full body x3 week or upper lower) but this will keep things ticking over until I settle into my new job.

    thank you. it looks good

There will be periods in our life where we just need to do what we can do and accept that there will be some disruption to routine. I do understand though that you want to keep some kind of training ticking over, not only for physical benefits, but to give you some mental space.

Focusing on the main compound lifts will give you the best use of your time. Alternatively I know that @scott-stevenson has a family man version of his fortitude training that covers 3 days a week training, so that may be worth checking out.

Thank you. I did fortitude training in past . I liked it but it was little but tricky in busy gym . I will check family man version .

Congrats mate! To be honest, I would worry to much about lifting atm my friend. Try to spend as much time at home with your familiy you can! Because this special time never comes back. And when you have time to hit the gym, do what you enjoy doing. Have fun. Try to energize yourself a little because you will have many sleepless nights ????

I would focus a lot on the compound lifts because those are the lifts that keep the muscle the best imo!

Squats, deadlifts, military press, incline barbell press, rows

Thank you mate , that will be best way

I think for this period you do what you can do mate. You can still make the sessions worthwhile, it’s a meaningful amount of time if you operate distraction free

I would be looking to focus on the main moves, maybe even looking to those with more bang for their buck in this period

Why don’t you put some templates together and we’ll look over them

    Most importantly, congratulations mate

thank you. Tbh I didn’t think about template yet. Maybe I could do some combination of PPL and fortitude training. ????

First, congrats and welcome to fatherhood! I have two little ones myself so I know what its like to have to get in, hit it hard and get out of the gym. You can still do a push/pull/legs twice a wee, just need to abbreviate the warm ups. Check out John Meadows on youtube. He has a series called quick warm-ups or something like that. I can get the sessions done in 60m including warm ups if you don’t mess around.

thank you. . I checked John’s video. 2nd technique I’m doing already. I will have to just cut some exercises maybe do some super sets and it should be doable. my workouts atm are never below 90 min lol.
