Hi James

Positive thoughts to you and your mum. I lost my mum to cancer at a young age so I have some appreciation for what you are dealing with.

In the “Committed” video when taking your orals on the morning of the contest you mentioned Anadrol to “keep you full”.

Would you mind sharing your protocol for pre-contest use of this compound? (I assume just the last few days when loading).

I would be interested in your views.

    Thank you.

    also Chris thank you.

it’s been a very REAL time.  mortality is very present now

I have seen mum go from able to completely the opposite in a matter of days..

I wish I could document this entire event..  the truth is the systems in place have been an absolute failure.. communication between care has been almost non existent .. no one knows anything when they walk through our door. it’s like..how many times must we .. the family explain my mum’s illness.. where are the professionals and there notes???

this country doesn’t seem to be able to help to the standard it promises.. such a shame.. sorry to be somewhat depressing.. I just .. as I’ve said before treat this as a document for not only training but life itself.. I always do wish to be helpful in all areas and if i can shed light on something that may help others I always dam well will will

I appreciate you all and ultimately the one thing that has brought us all togehter is the iron..

the best people so thank you

    Hi James,

For starters don’t apologise for being “somewhat depressing”, we can’t live and breathe positive thoughts. Only lunatics do. I lost my mum to lung cancer 2 months ago yesterday and the truth is that a part of you dies with it (I’m 26, she was 56 when she passed). I spent a bit too long feeling the need to absorb all my time with training and eating and “robotizing” myself to the point that my mind was so busy that I was incapable of crying. Don’t do that if things come to worse. Matter of fact, give yourself a break and grief. Because as far as my experience goes, that first month of just deciding to focus all my energy in work and training led to a terrible following month. Consumed by Anxiety, insomnia, demotivation, only training kept me a bit sane.

My best advice is to really spend as much time as you can with your mum. And I mean that. Hold her hand for as long as you can, talk to her as much as you can. This may sound like counter intuitive thinking, but remain positive to her, appease her mind, but at the same time don’t let your positivity blind you from the reality of death being around the corner. Judging by your most recent messages you’re already doing exactly what I’m suggesting.

It’s the most painful experience to lose a mother. Especially to such a consuming illness. But give yourself time to break down before you pick yourself back up.

Can’t give any advice on care homes unfortunately, but all that I can suggest is for you to try and source some high THC cannabis oil to soothe the process for her. Private care or hiring a nurse to stay at home with your mum would be the easiest routes.

All the best and definitely use this experience as extra fuel to make your mother proud beyond the fragility of life.

    I really appreciate that post.

I think others on here can also use this and find it helpful

appreciate the honesty always:) and I’ll always say thank you especially the fact you have been in such a position and ate happy to share your experience…means alot

in regards to training I’ll always let @jordanpeters lead

he has an amazing approach and is always looking to improve on what is already proven to work. like me he just wants to get better

in regards to bro split..  My only reasoning to suggesting it would he when you are extremely beat up and recovery is tough.. Thats why I do a couple shows then switch for a short time and revert back to push pull once calories go back in

I was torn between aceto and Patrick Tour
but Jordan and the guys have always said to me go aceto so I thought listen to the team and see it happen. I’m just happy to learn and see others perspectives

First of all my thoughts to you and your mum big guy. Wishing her the best. Stay strong.

    Whats the split currently?

Still Legs Rest Push Pull Rest repeat?

Did that myself for a while after you mentioned, was great! Way more recovery when I was off. Currently in a blast so doubting to stay on this split or just Legs Push Pull Rest repeat because obviously recovery is better/faster now..
hey bro.. yeah i find on cycle i can manage 3 on 1 off . recovery is certainly up ???? current split is that even though I’m on Cruise. recovery is good as I’m pretty stationary at the moment with mum so not overdoing it in the days in terms of physical output

    of course and certainly

like I say not much to report at this moment in time

he doesn’t just flip what you do 180.. he adjusts and gradually changes depending on what he sees fit

I’ll be more in tune with him as time passes for sure. I’m 85% on point atm of the time at current with nutrition. believe me if I wasn’t in the current situation with mum it would be 100%
but atm I’m dealing with things in my own kinda way.

food seems to be a friend in such times. I wouldn’t day I have a problem it’s more that I feel more relaxed if flexible and at this moment in time that is very important

You had such great off- and on-season this and last year. Giving your body and mind a rest is never a bad idea. Especially now with your loved ones. More in life then diet. You even still train and eat for 85% of diet. Those 15% wont hurt, almost sure you even gain on this in life. Take your time big man, big things will come your way with your work efford
my thoughts exactly bro . that 15% is room to move when the switch is needed to be flipped

Just had a look at the MPS max and it says it only contains 4g of protein per serving.

I’m not your coach so you got.ti do what you like the sound of:) is preferably place more protein into my post meals and reduce protein intake intra to the minimal required just so I’m not trying to digest too much during my sessions

but like I say these forums are just our opinions:) what ever you do bro hope.it works!

You don’t need 50g or protein intra you just need enough for Muscle protein synthesis to occur the aminos available from the food in the day will contribute to growth and repair once mps has been initiated

need to try and use food types that satiate you more.. perhaps change of protein , carb and fat sources to things you feel fill you up more.. it’s a bit of trial and error but say.. maybe change rice to potato.. or chicken to lean beef
